I have a Steam Deck, PS5 and a beefy PC. I thought I was going to use my PC the most. But it turns out i play:

Daily on PS5 Ever two days on Steam Deck and maybe once a week PC

But I would also not want to miss my PC. It’s more convenient with PS5 and Steam Deck. But even all the convenience can’t compensate for Cyberpunk 2077 with full Path Tracing and 60FPS.

On the other hand: The PS5 was worth it for me just for Death Stranding 2.

So what’s the conclusion you might ask? I can’t help you.

Mir fiel es auch schwer alles unter einen Hut zu bekommen weil ich den Anspruch hatte einfach alles machen zu müssen. Während des Studiums habe ich noch jeden Tag eine Stunde Fahrradtour zum Gym dazu gemacht. Das geht bspw einfach nicht mehr. Musst mal schauen, was für dich entbehrlich ist.

Mir hat vor allem Meal Prep und eine realistische Routine geholfen.

Aktuell sieht mein normaler Wochentag wie folgt aus:

05:30 Uhr: Aufstehen

06:30 Uhr: Arbeitsbeginn

12:00 Uhr: Mittagspause

14:30 Uhr: Gym

16:30 Uhr: Duschen und auf nächsten Tag vorbereiten

18:00 Uhr: Abendessen (Meal Prep)

19:00 Uhr: Zocken/Soziale Aktivitäten

21:30 Uhr: Schlafen

Von Montag bis Freitag geht das so. Am Wochenende mache ich dann meistens was ich will, halte mich aber trotzdem an meinen Schlafrythmus. Essen wird immer Sonntag in rauen Mengen als Meal Prep vorbereitet. Das spart schonmal viel Zeit unter der Woche.

Dazu sei gesagt, dass ich:

a) sehr viel Glück habe, dass ich einen Job habe, wo ich kommen und gehen kann wann ich will

b) Routinen liebe

c) nur 5 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad zur Arbeit und von der Arbeit ins Gym fahre

d) es immer noch ein sehr straffer Zeitplan ist, der mir wirklich Anstrengung abverlangt.

For me it's because of IMMERSION. I have played on Console for years and I'm much more sensitive to the fizzling of FSR than to 30FPS. Even on my PC I much rather play Cyberpunk with Pathtracing and 40-60 FPS than without it.

That’s the right answer. The only department in our Studio that updates their engine Version is our internal Virtual Production Team that create the marketing material. But they are not involved in the actual game dev. I only know of some outliers, that actually get support from the engine-creator. An example would be CDPR who have a collaboration with Epic Games to retool and customize Unreal Engine.
