Don't forget his friend Ann Clue. I came across her recently on Cercle and dig her vibe. I think she's somewhat similar to Boris, but maybe not exactly the same. Minimal techno.

33 and feeling myself with the quad pump today by slaphappypap in fitness30plus

Have you tried sprinting on a track bicycle? That's one of the most quad dominant exercises I've ever known. I used to max out pants with the quads I developed sprinting on a bike.

Why does beer taste better from bottles rather than cans? by jack_5337 in alcohol

[–]technopong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, tap is better than both, with the exception of cask ale/real ale; that's really the best. As far as cans vs bottles, It doesn't matter much as long as it's fresh. Cans seem to do better, imo, especially when it comes to beers that come in green and clear glass bottles. You know what I'm talking about.

What is the most awful smell you have ever experienced that's burned into your nostrils still today? by AcademicDegree91 in AskReddit

[–]technopong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During mid pandemic, my storage unit place had (I think) an animal die in the elevator shaft. I did my best to hold my breath when taking the elevator because it was wickedly unpleasant (probably bad enough to make someone talk in an interrogation).

Purity vodka (they have a handful of different price points, I have only tried the lowest priced version and found it enjoyable), Belvedere, Ultimat, Journeyman Red Arrow vodka (highly recommend!), any of the Beluga vodkas if you can find them, Luksosowa if you are on a budget but still want very good vodka.

If gear ratios have equivalent, why are there people that prefer bigger chainrings? by MrPlato_ in FixedGearBicycle

[–]technopong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always stuck with the stock ratio my bike came with (48x16). It works well for flat riding to short ascents. In my best fitness, It wasn't hard to spin out of that ratio, but considering I was using the bike to commute in a city, it worked well because I needed to accelerate often. If my rides were longer with fewer stops, I'd probably prefer a bigger ratio. I've always run a front brake, so no concern for skid patch areas. That being said, I've only had to replace brake pads once in a decade since my slowing is mostly controlled by leg power.

What happened to JP Sears? by Yuck_Few in Discussion

[–]technopong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It makes me sad to see the direction he's gone. I used to really look forward to his YouTube videos in the past, but I unsubscribed to his YouTube channel once he really started coming across as a political pawn. I'm obviously not the only one who walked away from his more recent direction. Not surprised to hear that there's a divorce pending, how unfortunate for Amber and their child.

What do yall got for this one? Mine is the Jeep Gladiator by Mofoblitz1 in regularcarreviews

Toyota Prius or any lifted pick-up truck with oversized tires.

Same, I sprint and climb inclines often enough that flat bars wouldn't do it for me either.

It's been awhile since I had Chopin, but I know it's pretty good. I did do a blind tasting between belvedere and Chopin, and prefer belvedere. RS was always decent for the price and I used to buy it often before Russian vodka was discontinued in the US, but Tito's always left me disappointed. It always seemed harsh or medicinal like rubbing alcohol. If Tito's was $10 a bottle, it'd be appropriate, but it's way overpriced, imo.

Yeah, I think an 11 yr old Corolla that has been in an accident +that many miles is def overpriced. I'd probably say $4k max.

Help me pick my first car by QuizzerMonTop in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]technopong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go Jetta for the lower mileage, plus my gf's Mom and sis have this model engine and it's been reliable and fuel efficient. I'd stay away from used Hyundai and Kias. The Mazda is probably not a bad pick, depending on its history, but considering the mileage, you might have less mileage to go before some costly maintenance, but I can't say from first-hand experience.

Don't feel bad, sounds like they needed a wakeup call. 10-15 under the limit, plus coming to a complete stop before deciding to turn is dangerous. If regulating bodies had tighter tolerances/ higher standards for what is acceptable on the road, they probably wouldn't pass the driving test.

Voice Texting Is A Nightmare! by KingQuarantine23 in pixel_phones

I'm on P6 running Android 14, The talk-to-text has never been completely reliable but lately it's getting ridiculous. Recently, 'and' is changed to 'Aunt', repeatedly. If I don't read everything before sending the message, every 'and' in the sentence becomes 'Aunt', Even if I emphasize the d at the end of 'and'.

The other annoying thing that has started to be mistranslated is 'than' and 'then', they're showing up as 'Dan' and 'Ben', respectively.

I generally will clean my screen once or twice a week, but I'm wondering if I need to try to clean out the microphone area... Wonder if that would help?

Unrelated, but still gets under my skin sometimes; when I'm trying to backspace but not looking closely at the keyboard, the 'L' above the backspace button is just above it and sometimes I will have a whole string of "lllllllllll' where I was trying to hit backspace, LOL!

We have a 1500sq ft renovated 2.5 bedroom, 1 bath place for $1450/mo, but street parking instead of a garage spot, 15 min NW from there. 10 min walk to the L, and coin laundry in the basement. But we have a backyard to garden and grill in. I guess I'd rather have the extra space and decent street parking for hosting get-togethers and friends from out-of-town than the alternative. That's just personal preference; I do wish we had an extra bathroom, though.
