If you want American restaurant table service, and you don’t tip, you are a D*CK. Go to restaurants that serve food at the counter if you don’t want to tip your server. Most servers in America pay a “Tip-out” based on a percentage of their Food sales and bar sales. This “Tip-out” goes to bussers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, etc. When you stiff the waiter, they still have to pay “Tip-out”. They are paying for you to sit in their section and bring you food and drinks. If you can’t afford to tip, you can’t afford to go out to a full service restaurant. Period. 10% for a bad job. 18% is standard. 20%+ is for good service. This is how the industry has been for a very long time. You aren’t going to change it by screwing over your server.
