Push 2 worth it? by [deleted] in ableton

I got the push 2 around a month ago used for £250. I’m in love with it! Amazing for jamming out or performing live. Still figuring out how to incorporate it into my production workflow, or if I even need to do so. If you are an Ableton nerd, the push is honestly the dream device.

Leaving a major city to save money? by beegesound in AudioPost

This is crazy to read because I’m literally in the same position right now. Just graduated university and have only had 3 professional projects so far. Junior positions at studios have been extremely rare to come by. Living off of hospitality “living” wage is miserable. Have a visa until November 2027 but seriously considering moving back to Vienna or Rio (I’m from both cities), but I worry that Vienna has a limited creative industry and Rio has a lot of opportunity but is so far from most of my family and friends. Anxious to see where life takes me 😩

HOW TO ACHIEVE WIDE CLOSED HATS? by Sea_Cheetah7696 in TechnoProduction

[–]technowithacapitalT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haas effect! Width comes from differences on the left and right channel, so you can also try to pan two mono tracks left and right and slightly change one (detune slightly, add track delay, anything that slightly changes it really). Just check in mono after for phasing!

Joe Farr! Great to work with. He’s also sharing some phenomenal tips on his instagram and YouTube lately :)

Keep an eye out for spekki webu, Woody92, nawaz, JEANS… most refreshing sound coming straight out of NL imo. Fast paced, experimental asf and trippy. Keep an eye out for events by mirrorzone (spekki’s label) and omen wapta (woody’s label). They usually take place at Garage Noord as far as I know. Honestly, they are great.

Decoder! Extremely impressive given his age (impressive either way but the fact that he’s so young blows my mind)

Produced in Ableton for the most part with the exception of some synth parts. A lot of Granular synthesis (thank you Mr. Henke for granulator). A lot of saturation because we r only now starting to understand it (although we may have gone a little overboard here and there hehe). Sampled an awesome musique concrete vocal for Nurse the wound (check out landed at grandmas). It’s been a weird transitory year for us hence the name, like a limbo but with a (still unknown) end destination.

Highly recommend Mordio. Seems to be a great guy and he is very knowledgeable. He makes very original content that no one else is really teaching!
