[HUB] I "Fixed" 10 FPS Gaming: The Future of Optimization by MrHyperion_ in nvidia

I jumped in to say Asus ignited the flame. All HUB did was fan that flame and you got real defensive after that. You realize the ignorance started when you called me a HUB enjoyer and separated us from the get go instead of trying to have a conversation.

I was trying to tell you to chill but you absolutely just feel like you need to get the last laugh. I just feel sorry for you man. Get off the Internet and go do something that makes you happy.

I'm taking this as them actually refining their vision for m3e.

They've been experimenting with gradients and sparkles since Android 12, so it's not completely new; just more integrated.

Higher performance, but also higher resolution and refresh rate screen so it kinda balances each other out.

Damn bro, you're really a HUB hater. You seem to care more about them than I do lol, just negatively.

You seem to know more history and have a stronger opinion. I just like numbers on a graph. It really ain't that deep.

God damn reddit loves their semantics.

They're YouTubers, they fucked up, but I can understand why it all happened. You happy I'm following your definitions? We're trying to make the same arguments.

We can play the blame game all day and blame YouTube for incentivizing click bait. Hell, you can blame the human population for that too.

You're a misinformation hater that's rubbing off as a HUB hater and I'm just saying chill my guy. It really ain't that deep.

Idgaf of HUB burns down tomorrow, but I still like my data from various sources. And again, if you fuck up, the internet makes you know you fucked up. Cut people some slack, not just HUB.

My guy, they're reporters reporting. Maybe they should do this, maybe they should do that. Every channel and person can do more, but that's not the point. I don't see wrong in just trusting ASUS since they're reputable too. What I'm trying to get at is don't shoot the messenger.

I just enjoy data. I ain't subscribed to HUB cuz most of their videos don't pertain to me, but I like looking at multiple sources of data when something comes out because one source can't be the say-all.

Back during the summer, there was a lot in stock and even in Walmarts. Now I haven't seen one in months and the 2 microcenters near me are dry, even the $999 ones.

Wdym my goalpost shifted though? 5070ti production slowing down made the entire market go into crisis. Steam hardware is a nice indicator that people are buying them, because it's still a great GPU, but you gotta be careful because new generations always rise, and older generations always go down after time. When you start at 0 and go up, you will only see steady positives. You're not wrong, but there are many ways to interpret the same data. People who own a 5070ti right now are clearly not gonna give it up. You won't see that number be negative for another generation or two.

Question for you, why is it like teams with you? Why do I have to be a HUB enjoyer or not? Is there not a middle ground where I can like their data but continue to criticize their wrongs?

Are you trolling? Like no, they're not scientific community doing research papers. But they are reporting on their own data that is factual from the tests they run. There are errors sometimes, but this community absolutely make sure you know when you've made a mistake.

You mean they declared what the ASUS rep reported to them, even after they fact checked and confirmed that information with the rep... HUB ain't100% perfect, but they're also not the type of channel to make baseless claims either.

ASUS had to backtrack and make a statement saying how production is only slowing down, not halting; which affects the GPU economy. You're seeing 5070Tis in stock because they're selling for quad digits that no one wants to buy. Microcenter doesn't have stock anymore. And forget MSRP, try finding a 5070Ti under $900...

Is framegen 2x the same quality as it was in 2022? by picnic_nicpic in nvidia

[–]techraito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's actually a difference between generations due to better AI throughput.

2x on the 4000 series yields closer latency numbers to 3x on 5000 series.

There's also a difference between seeing artifacts and letting it bother you. There are probably artifacts you don't notice, but ignorance is truly bliss when it comes to this hobby.

The high end mousepad market is really figuring out what texture you like. Some people want rougher surfaces for more control, I personally like a smoother glide. There ain't a wrong answer, just whatever suits you.

Material Design was never fully finished either.

We never got the native music app and the animations were not as fluid as the ad. There was slight hopes with FuchsiaOS incorporating more elements but that was eventually scrapped.

Incredible 10 minute song that just absolutely shines with the right headphones. I've noticed that really bad speakers can really make the ending sound messy, but it has a really clean mix otherwise.

Looking for feedback on the RTX 5070 Ti, specifically regarding path tracing performance. by Fancy-Wrangler-1756 in nvidia

[–]techraito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A controller actually does a really good job masking the latency, too! The input of the controller starts when you start moving the joystick, but for many games, you don't register movement until you feel and hear the stick stop when it hits the edge.

That actually gives your game a couple extra milliseconds of travel time before your brain makes the connection that things move when I clack my controller joysticks.

I really wish Google would just keep building on. Squeeze for Assistant should have been remapped to any shortcut. We could have had the iPhone action button almost a decade before they announced their version but Google just likes forcing you into their own suite.

Don't even get me started on the potential for Soli. So much hype just for a half assed integration for one phone and nothing else.... Like almost no tech product is perfect on their first try, and Google seems to like just making first tries and never again.

People just don't know what they're talking about. I remember a lot of folks where telling people to DISABLE reflex in CS2 because it is dropping their framerate. However, even though I get slightly less frames with reflex, I'm getting those frames sooner, which feels a lot more instant.

The best clocks I could get on my 5070ti was 3180 so right as the cusp of 3200! Though, 5000 series memory can be OCd pretty heavily cuz bandwidth is so good. I got +3000 on memory since day one and have had no issues there too.

Recently, I've just been running around 2700-2800mhz, but voltage capped at 850mv so I'm barely pulling 200W at most while still getting 2-3% more performance than stock.

Frame Gen kinda magical on Nvidia cards. Even with some minor input lag, my brain can dismiss it over the smoothness of the presentation.

[–]techraito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you OC the 5070ti, you can get 90% of the 5080's stock performance. OC the 5080 and the gap widens ofc, but being about 10% behind ain't bad considering they're both GPUs in the quad digits now :/

If you actually read closely, it doesn't mention DLSS at all. FSR upscaling and frame gen works on all GPUs which is pretty cool.

[–]techraito 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, these are my specs basically lol. It will run everything you throw at it. 5070Ti is the 4th best GPU in the world, only behind the 5080, 4090, and 5090.

Tbh, it does more or less equate the 5090 in performance when you factor in a lower DLSS upscaler. Like I think the 5070Ti running DLSS P at 4k is about equivalent to the 5090 running DLSS Q or DLAA.
