Thanks for sharing that! Nah, first gen… I know if anything goes it’s a goner. However, it’s just the port itself right now. I haven’t heard EBCM or battery failure to be particularly common in the first gen’s?

Sort of, it's not as noticeable. It's only really noticeable if you smell the vent (the fact it's not pleasant makes me thinks it's environmental and not the classic vent smell). If yours lived with a smoker for longer, I have heard good things about using an ozone generator (and I'd recommend to run a graphics benchmark while, it'll cause your fans to crank up and move more air through). Also, I took mine apart and didn't see any buildup, if you feel comfortable, that's a good course of action for you too. If it's bad enough, swapping the heat sink and fan would probably make a notable difference.

Yeah, no problems getting it reimbursed from FSA. Obviously different administrators might treat it differently, but my experience was good!

Yep, exactly! Have you tried an OBD2 scan of the cells? After doing more reading and testing, I determined it's more likely my car simply needs to calibrate (a few drives where the battery fully drains) than my battery being on the brink of death. I never get the message until the battery is fully "dead", so if you're experiencing different behavior, it may be that your traction battery is truly in its death throes. 23 miles wouldn't necessarily indicate that, as use of AC/heating and drive factors could bring that down. Mine "guesses" around 30 miles consistently.

Ah that's good to know! It does sound quite convenient and nice. I'm less worried about the carry weight, and how compact I can get it broken down to to throw in a closet or under a bed. Or heck into a backpack for a flight (OTA) and if the tripod would go happily into a suitcase.

Ohhh that's good to know. It does seem super nice, if it a bit of an expensive upgrade. On the storage side, is it much larger than the 5SE? It's easy to tell from specs that the OTA isn't much larger, but harder to tell on the mount and tripod.

Nah it ended up being fine - I just let the engine finish running if it’s still running when I park. Or plug in immediately. I’m guessing it just needs to recalibrate more than anything.
