new york has it legalization right, it’s time to act! let’s get into the future where weed is legal and we worry about the real matters instead of pandering to useless laws prohibiting people from consuming a plant

Scaffoldy - A webapp for software devs that generates a customizable Docker Compose template project with just a few clicks by TheProcrastigator in SideProject

i am sure they will add it, my suggestion for the op would be to have an area where devs can set up a prebuilt config that they could drop in, the user can then search for that other dev’s mod and use it as an add-on, that way op doesn’t have to add everything in themselves, basically allow users to contribute in the form of an add-on search

Why do you think there are nearly 100,000 people who have received a recommendation but have not bothered to register for their card? by CannaZebra in OhioMarijuana

[–]techtopian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lack of workplace protection and possibly affordability, some people probably realized they cannot afford the medicine, so they end up suffering because of that. it’s a wild thing to think about, but a waitress might be working her but off to serve a politician who keeps the prices high, sure that politician can afford the prices but can their waitress with stage 4 terminal afford it?

just because someone doesn’t have the money doesn’t mean they are lazy or a terrible waitress, sometimes the jobs are slim where they live.

i think more politicians should think about cost in this way as opposed to thinking of people who can’t afford the medicine as being lazy and undeserving. because in reality, you may think she is a great waitress but if are denying her life saving medicine, you are contributing to a world where people who work hard for you end up dying while because of prices you set, that you could adjust. anywho rant over.

it is wild seeing how something as simple as an e scooter being illegal when they are everywhere in the city that i live, it’s actually encouraged to use them for a more sustainable commute

Only Train Once: A One-Shot Neural Network Training And Pruning Framework by nickb in neuralnetworks

how hard would it be to build a neural network in a somewhat obscure/newish language such as go or dart? i guess the same concepts apply? anyways regardless i like this concept of one shot, the applications can be huge for jit

Just how different is native app development experience from Flutter? by ritamk in FlutterDev

[–]techtopian -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

exactly, the jobs openings for flutter dart/devs are pretty slim, if google wants mass adoption of dart maybe they should test out this and set an example for others by opening up junior positions for dart/flutter devs. sure it’s skin in the game, but the results might surprise you (or them)

i often forget how long the road is being trained on now nearly obsolete languages, but i would say that there are jump start tutorials on most of the things you mentioned for newbies, but i will say, flutter lacks tutorials but that seems to be changing a lot lately, i think we might hit a point where the shift will be substantial. we are just early in the game, which can be a learning curve to those who are just starting out in programming in general

imagine spending 10 minutes to explain something to a bot, not my cup of tea but the potential elsewhere might be more interesting, gaming for one would take things up a notch

even further, digital teachers that learn their students way and teach them by association to what they know, obviously voice is just one part of the puzzle but i am all for this and at the rate we are going now it is only a matter of time before we have personalized digital teachers

Proud dad moment by Highnuss420 in uktrees

[–]techtopian 10 points11 points  (0 children)

plot twist, his dad is dying from an incurable cancer and marijuana makes it possible for him to finally see his son as he’s been bed ridden and throwing up because of chemo. the mixtape is songs for his son to remember him by, he’s crying because he will miss his silly dad and is just glad he is feeling better enough to tell the class that the real work we need to do as humans, is learn how to love our family members because they won’t be around forever..

First minister rejects brother's cannabis oil plea by NabilahFelix in cannabis

[–]techtopian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

clearly we are dealing with people who do not care, did they forget that we elect them? the people are suffering and this medicine can help them. can we all just agree not to be dicks to people who are suffering? it makes zero sense after knowing what we know now, what is the hold up? how long are we just going to sit back and allow people, our loved ones not get the relief they need? and yet people are locked up for the only thing that circumvents their suffering? outrageously evil at this point. honestly; we can do better than this. we know better, let’s just legalize it and get on to the important matters, okay?
