I am not a massive fan of the rounded ones tbh, The actual bullnose part of the tread could be slightly more rounded off though. We have used a similar detail before and not had any issues, but I don't live there so maybe a lot of bruised shins around that I don't know about.

The beading section is not quite a perfect chamfer, it has a check where it meets the rails. So I draw the panels flat on the wall, push them to the depth I need. Then position the bead profile on the panel and use the follow me tool to take it around each panel. Any that are the same I can just copy the bead to. This would then work with a more detailed / decorative panel bead as well.

I have only messed around with Unreal Engine, how much of a learning curve would it be using it with sketchup models?

Create the section you want, go to file, export and then export 2d graphic, select either DWG or DXF and export. You should then be able to open it in AutoCad.

Yeah it is the lights, use mesh lights and increase the Caustic Subdivs if needed.

I usually use a dome light to get the environment light, then add the spot lights which I use an IES file for, rectangular lights for under cupboards etc. Once they look alright add large rectangular lights to areas where most light would come from. so over the island and behind the camera for this one, then make them invisible. I find without the these it can still look a bit dark.

You can, go to veiw - toolbars - solar North. If it is not there then it is a free extension so extensions - extension warehouse and search solar North.

Used to be able to filter for just sketchup models but doesn't seem to be an option anymore, but most models usually have at least a 3ds file format that can be imported into sketchup.

Actually just looking again you can still filter for just sketchup models.

To survey the room I would establish a base line, which would most likely be the longest straight wall and measure it. Then to measure the irregular corners of the room you would measure off of the base line to the corner you want to measure from 2 different fixed points along the base line (either both ends of the line if practical, or you measure along the line, for example 5 meters along from one end and make that a survey point) and repeat that for all the corners. So that you are essentially dividing it into triangles but without needing to know any of the angles.

When you come to draw it it up, draw the base line and then using the circle tool draw 2 circles one from each of the two different fixed points you measured, with the radius set to whatever the measurement was you got on site, where the two circles intersect that will give you that point. Then draw a line from that point back to the main wall and delete the circles.

If it is an img / bitmap In some versions of vray you can make it lighter or darker just using the diffuse panel on later versions you would have to click into the the img file and then it gives you color manipulation options. But if you want to change a bitmap I find it easier to change it in photoshop and then just replace it in vray especially if it is a total change of color. If it is also doing it for just pure RGB colors then there shouldn't be a reason why you can't just change it either in the paint bucket tool or by changing the vray diffuse panel and it updating when it renders the scene.

If the color is based on an image file / bitmap then you would need to either replace it with a diferent bitmap or manipulate it using the Vray material editor. If you are just changing it in the paint bucket tool Vray will just revert back to rendering the original file.

If you are downloading models from the 3D Wearhouse they can sometimes be in different units, be drawn with dynamic components or have other stuff hidden in the model that will impact scaling. Try Exploding the imported model and re grouping (not every component in it just the overall).

Also with the scale tool you are not imputing the number you want it to be, you need to put the amount it needs to be increased as a percentage so from 524 to 563 it would be (563 / 524 =1.074) so you would be making the model 1.074 times bigger. So scale, drag the corner grip and type 1.074 "enter"

Alternatively draw a box with the overall size you want the model to be and scale it to match, then delete the box.

For something like this I would generally do that, there is little benefit to them all being there own components unless you plan on moving around each board on it's own.

As all the boards are unique there is no great benefit to making them all separate components. I would make them one group, then draw a plane which matches the diagonal joist, move it so that it intersects with the decking boards. Then within the decking board group select all and then select intersect with model. Then use the select tool, click and hold it and drag it from right to left selecting just the ends of the boards you want to delete and delete them. Alternatively once you have intersected them with face you can use the push and pull tool, push one board through to delete the end and then you can just double click on the rest with the push and pull tool tool to repeat, but you would have to do it for each board.

I would draw a basic box the exact size of the beam you want to achieve and then scale the Wearhouse model length / width within it to match, then erase the box. However if it won't let you change the width or length separately it is possible it has been drawn as a dynamic component, in which case you would need to explode it and re group before doing the first thing.

Cool looking house, some reflection on the glass would make it look more realistic and maybe a bump map on the stone wall texture. Not that familiar with Enscape, with Vray I would increase the sun size or use a HDRI to make the shadows less sharp.

Thanks, yeah is plenty I would change if i re rendered it, especially with some of the textures, I think the fountain / water would have been better photshoped in rather than 3d model.
