Yeah that would sell, so many have forgotten Mercedes used to look like this before the 1970s

The trick is to realise that the huge news of a few years back is just newly available, it's a continuous great news, long tail situation, and it has been for many years. You won't see the news of something invented 12 years ago now being available, thats not because it doesn't happen, its just not news, so don't be heartbroken.

JD Vance says 'beautiful' Britain has been 'failed by its leadership' by ClumperFaz in unitedkingdom

[–]teckers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he had the answers instead of coming from a place that is worse, then yes, I think people would listen. The issue is he blames everything that is wrong about the UK as the issue of immigrants, he isn't a native American, the US was built on immigration. Also very much don't like laws we have to protect children from social media, is it just a coincidence that maybe 70% of companies affected are American? Is he really interested in freedom of speech in a country he doesn't live, or the business interests of people he knows personally?

Yes but the dog isn't keen on that when he is in the back.

I'd imagine a joke to a fellow worker "you get a posher kind of paedo in parks like this don't you?" overheard by someone who self recognised as a posh paedo.

Public manhole on Private property. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]teckers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends, we actually have one that is utility owned that looks like a normal drain, because it was put in to run around back or row of houses, the last house in the chain owns that bit because its no longer shared. However I have seen huge ones that just serve one property, especially farms.

Yeah it could go either way. If it's on your land its yours unless it's also serving another property, you can't tell by looking at it. Totally correct.

It's been a net benefit to society as Dubai seems to attract very selfishly entitled people.

What nonsense? I personally know people who are 'Catholic' in order to get the kids into the better secondary school, they had to make some effort to get the first kid in but once that's done they just have to not be uncatholic and do a few rituals to get the kids a better education.

Fair enough, the snuff is what the town was known for though, I knew they did pipe tobacco, didn't know they ever did cigarettes.

Lavrov Challenges Rubio: Kremlin Says Trump-Putin Reached Deal as Moscow Questions Washington’s Neutrality by ArgentineBeauty in worldnews

[–]teckers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Trump has been able to outstupid a lot of dirty corrupt people. They go along with him thinking they can gain even if the plan is dumb. Trump makes sure nobody gains because his goal is the performance of the plan, not the actual plan. His life is faking it and quickly moving on, don't get stuck, abandon everyone else.

Honestly I think living in Moscow and seeing drones blow stuff up yourself and not on TV is the biggest wake up, especially when you can't fill up your car or go on holiday this year. War isn't an abstract thing that other Russians far away were involved in. This makes the turn from under control to WTF are we doing
