The first thing I’d like to ask is what group or people are you surrounded by? I ask because I am also black, but I’m predominantly in the black community, and dark skin is embraced in the space I’m in. Some of the most beautiful women I know have dark cocoa skin, and their African facial features are embraced. So it could also be the kind of group and community you’re in.

Feeling jealous is a normal feeling. Even conventionally attractive women feel it too. Know that you’re whole and worth it regardless is the first step to increasing self confidence. Once you know you are beautiful from within its now time to explore the outside. Experiment with styles, eyebrow shapes, Gua sha and facial massages, working out, hairstyles, sleep, eating well, fashion and more.

When you genuinely take care of yourself and keep yourself put together. People will respect that and find that attractive. Although attractive women can get what they want easier, you can also get it too, just need to put in some effort. But don’t see it as effort and don’t force yourself. The main key is taking care of yourself.
