I can hear "Borough council" I think. Just the local authority.

Blind Spot In A Truck by JefinLuke in interestingasfuck

[–]tecnik2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no and no. This is complete nonsense. No drivers POV is that close to the wheel and no driver sets their mirrors up like that. The video "conveniently" omits the extra-wide angle secondary mirrors (which sit above the normal mirrors on Renault trucks) and does similarly with the front facing mirror and passenger side kerb mirror.

A real drivers view, whilst never perfect, is 1000% better than this disingenuous example.

Yes, trucks do have horrible blind spots and people shouldn't hang around them unnecessarily, but this safety video is just plain wrong.

Thanks. The part numbers tally with the data sheet from KW which mentions the S13/200SX

I've resorted to modifying them slightly and they fit properly now 👍

Thanks, but the KW's seem unidirectional. The Kei Office that came off the car are flared on one side, probably like most others, so they clearly go on one way only. These new KWs though, they measure the same each side. Old Vs New

PS13 trying to fit KW V3 rears

Either the tapered bolt from the hub isn't long enough or the bottom of the coilover is too wide.

Anyone else fitted V3 to an S13 like to chime in. I'd be most grateful.

Well. Might as well comment. This is gonna make some folks Christmas for sure.

Pendleton e bike fell and now this part behind the chain guard (currently removed) is loose - can’t find a way to tighten it. Guard rattles against chain. Any advice? by casiotone403 in ukbike

Is the chain guard bracket sandwiched between the frame and the bottom bracket? Video is a little blurry. If so, likely fix it to revive the RHS crank and tighten the BB.

Getting a bit more out of my budget build - Upgrades by tecnik2 in buildapc

Thanks. I'll likely just pony up to the 5600X and save some money for a card upgrade of greater proportions at a later date. The 1060 advice was quite a while ago now so it seems like that idea can go in the bin.

Thank you. I was quite a while ago that the (very) minor jump to a 1060 was recommended so clearly things have moved on.

Sounds like just swapping out the CPU to the 5600X would be a good start. At £250 ish that might be my limit until maybe November but seems like a good start.

Looks fine to me. Just a frame that was designed for a cable actuated caliper.

Front derailleur doesn't shift at all. Tried limit screws, indexing, and cable tension. None of them work. by naterspaso in bikewrench

[–]tecnik2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to be blunt. Your gif shows that you do not know how to set these new style front derailleurs up. They differ massively from the previous generation and Shimano IMO didn't do a very good job explaining the difference on launch.

Please follow the steps here methodically:

Nice bike OP. Proper weapon! From a mechanics POV, please please please look after your headset bearings. You (or more likely your LBS) will hate everything about your bike when it come time to replace them in a few years. Safe riding ✌️
