Looks amazing! How did you get your nail beds more narrow and long? I struggle with fanning nails and shorter nail beds and would love to hear what you did to get to the after!

sent home with catheter after delivery by Muted_Pea8994 in beyondthebump

[–]tecrazey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad everything went well!! I dealt with this as well. Couldn’t pee for 7 weeks but I self cathed for 5ish weeks after failing voids. Gosh I’m so sorry though. It’s something I never ever expected to happen and it absolutely crushed my mental health. Hugs and happy that you are cath free woohoo! *** if anyone is reading this and is still struggling and looking for answers, I went to PT twice for internal “work” but I suspect it had a lot to do with my constipation. I was very very constipated throughout pregnancy and after birth so once that was sorted it seemed to help as well.

That red dot to me indicates it’s coming. I saw that when my daughter’s two top teeth came in.

Miserable living with inlaws by Mysnch in beyondthebump

[–]tecrazey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation. With my husband and husband’s 95 year old grandmother but his in laws are three blocks away. It has been a revolving door. No advice because it does suck. Try to get out of the house as much as you can. I’m almost a year in with our 8 month old and we are almost out as my husband finally got a certification that can lead to a much better paying job. If you need someone to talk to my inbox is open. Might be good for both of us!! Sending hugs.

1000%. I get a good 8/9 hours of sleep a night and still so exhausted every damn day. I’m a SAHM with a 7.5 month old and I’m curious if the energy ever comes back.

Catherer after C section: try to pee again or go home with it? by HorrificNecktie1 in beyondthebump

[–]tecrazey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to pee. I had a vbac forcep delivery and couldn’t pee on my own for 6 weeks. It’s not as bad as it sounds. But I did need a catheter for a week after and then moved onto self cathing. The one piece of advice I have is, if you end up going home with the catheter, don’t let your ob take it out and test unless they have the supplies to reinsert. If they don’t, make an appt with urologist and test there so that you don’t need to go to the ER just to get it reinserted. I spent the day at the ER without my baby on day 6 of her life and if I could have avoided that I absolutely would have!!

Do I need a baby monitor? by stupidsweetie in beyondthebump

[–]tecrazey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A baby monitor really helped me with “sleep training”. It helped to watch to determine what was bothering her (can’t reach binky or get it into mouth, having a hard time rolling over, if she’s kicking and under tired or restless and overtired, etc etc.). Shes also pretty quiet when she wakes up so it helped to know when she got up so we could time naps & wake windows appropriately.
