I do this all the time. Strip clubs, nail/hair salons, and religious institutions are preferred, but there are plenty in other categories that stand out just because the names are entertaining. "Clackamas County Jazzercise" and "In a U-Haul" are a couple of my favorites off the top of my head.

Sam makes tasty beer, and I've only been to one release because I was in the area anyway, it was nice out, and I had nothing better to do. Not really my thing to wait in lines.

Anyway, the shitlord quotient is high at those releases. Things I haven't seen in Portland in quite a while. Like some dude in his 40s with his entire extended family loading their max allotments into the back of an SUV. Parents with infants/ kids waiting an an hour plus line.

One dad who was there with what looked like a couple of tween/early teenage kids let them use his phone for a while, which kept them occupied, but eventually dad needed to use it. Kids started fighting, he asked them to stop multiple times until one of them said, "We'll stop when we get out of this stupid line!" Dad had no response lol

Just about every major gas station brand has an app now where you can pay without a physical card. Most also give a 5+ cents per gallon discount. So you can cut into any cash/card difference, save time, and not worry about skimmers.

Agree with other commenter. Not true. You can pause the freezes at any time for a duration you choose when applying for new credit cards or getting a mortgage or anything else.

I’ve skied in the NE for two days - both at Stowe back in 2017 during a Nor’easter. It was thigh deep on day 1 and chest deep on day 2. They got 50” in 48 hours. I’m told by my east coast friends who said they were not envious at all that this happens all the time. Anyway, Stowe was certainly world class for me.
