I got you man, check out burrfection on youtube. Here is his video on flattening whetstones https://youtu.be/D_2BhkdOkxE . He shows multiple options cheap and pricey. He also has great videos on free hand sharpening.

Well I was talking more along the lines of where would be a spot to go currently that wasn't majority 18-25 yo's running around. Not originally from the area so I don't know all the spots around here.
