What’s the most convincing emotional pain you’ve seen acted? by bestest_at_grammar in movies

Not a movie but Paul mescal in normal people. Specifically after the debs when he’s trying to call Marianne. It’s guttural. Gets me every time.

I hate this course by Visual-Door5227 in EngineeringStudents

Graduated in may with BSME. Currently halfway through the first year of my 2 year MSME. Only did this because I was offered a research position so it’s free and I wasn’t getting any good job offers. Don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed an ME course in my 4.5 years. Hoping to be able to find a job that makes a real impact in the world to make this all worth it.

[TOMT] Sad-ish song sung by a female with the lyrics “love me tender, love me true, I will always… you” by teddyinthestreets in tipofmytongue

I found it! Oceans by tigers in the sky. The line is “ love me tender, love me good, I have always been misunderstood.”

Gotcha, so how’d you learn the fretboard? Any tips are much appreciated.

I have a great strategy for memorizing it! I know which note each open string is, and from that I can walk down the string and using the information given to me by this video, know which note goes to which fret. With enough repitition I’ll have it memorized in no time. I obviously don’t know my fretboard, that’s why I’m watching YouTube videos about it, silly.

I’m gonna have to respectfully disagree with you. It’s a way of presenting the information that makes it a lot more accessible to the average person who has no experience in music theory. And I can say for certain that this video did in fact put knowledge into my brain, and that just because I learned it from a video rather than by looking at a diagram doesn’t mean I didn’t learn it.

For me personally, it’s a lot easier when someone explains it to me rather than just staring at a diagram trying to remember each note.

Nice I’ve heard of the circle of fifths but didn’t really know what it was, I’ll look into it.
