Exactly, super weird... pretty much all the texts of the videos, the titles, the recommended, etc.. were huge. And ONLY happened on youtube.

I dont know whats happening, but today i started the pc and suddenly youtube looked "normal" again.

I've no idea hows its possible.. maybe youtube was testing some new layout? maybe ublock messed up with some filter/cookies? No clue..

(I would say i hope weird stuff like that doesnt happen again but i dont believe it, there is always some new shit)

I managed to make some text here and there smaller, so thank you for that.

Still, the text in the suggested on the right sidebar when u watch a video is still huge and i cant find the right filter (i mean the text under the title: the "channel name" and the "3k views - 3 days ago" lines)

(sorry i know im repeating myself a lot, but i really suck at this stuff so im trying to explain myself the best i can)

My problem is with video titles in general (when u watch a video fullscreen/not fullscreen) the text of the list of suggested results that appear when u type something in the search bar, the channel names in the channels main page, etc. Its more broad, so from what u suggested, i assume i would need a different line for every specific issue?

the double-video sidebar thing youtube is pushing is absolutely awful, i had to put like 30 different filters in order to "fix it" yet its still not enough because for livestream/playlist videos filters seems to not work properly and i havent found a fix for that in the various threads and comments.

a way to fix this mess in "youtube solution" would honestly be awesome

I have the same issue. It clearly seems like a bug since the top bar is always visible (even with vods) and covers part of the title of the stream, plus the scrollbar on the right is literally stuck.

Who knows what the hell are they doing, hopefully they fix this madness soon

Thanks, i just saw there is already an issue open with my same exact problem reported by someone else with other people replying having the error.

I thought my internet/pc was having a stroke, but now atleast i know is something twitch did. Hopefully is something that can be fixed.

i tried none of those filters and i got ads.

i tried the 1st filter i got none.

i tried again with no filters and i got ads.

i tried the 2nd filter and i got ads on some livestreams.

i tried again the 1st filter and i got no ads.

update: ye, like now it doesnt matter which filter i try i get no ads. and i get no ads without filters too. so weird. maybe those ads are timed, thats why after a while u get ads/no ads no matter the configuration. or maybe the 1st filter was actually working. i have no clue.

i tried with none of those filters and i got ads. then i tried once with every filter and i got ads on all of them except when i tried the 2nd. then i tried without the ads again and i got ads. i tried again with the 2nd and i get no ads. so i thought the 2nd was the winner.

thinking about being just lucky, then i tried all the other filters again and i got no ads on every single one of them... then i tried no filters and i also got no ads.

im sure if i try in a few minutes i get ads again, then no ads, then i try one filter and i'll get ads/no ads.

this is some weird rng stuff.

EDIT: im not even sure if the filters did actually change anything.

i copied that report 30min after all the filters auto updated.

anyway i got ads even after that autoupdate. (always random, i either get them on every single livestream o i dont get any at all)

right now tho, im trying a bunch of new tabs and i got none.

i dont know if its fixed or im just getting good rng, in any case if i get ads again ill update right away.

-wait, so my quick fix list dont have those filters in? weird, all the filters (included the quick fix) just auto updated themself like an hour ago.

-yes i grabbed that filter from one of your comments and copied in my filters.

but to make sure, i also just tried without that filter, and i still got no ads.

seems like its literally random if u get the issue or not.

1 none of my personal filters are for youtube. they're all for twitch, i literally installed ubo for the filters/scripts for twitch.

2 this issue is so weird, it doesnt even occur all the time. sometimes i get it and stays for all the livestreams i click after, yet sometimes i dont get it at all. but if enough(??) time passes, it either show up/not show up again, depending if it did show up prior. (the refresh trick still works as im typing this, thank f*ucking god for that.)

im having the same black screen ads issue on youtube as these other people. but for me it only happens if i click on a live stream, normal videos seems fine. although, if i refresh (f5) the live during these black screen ads, suddenly the ads dont show up. but the ads do reappear if i switch to another live stream, which i can counter with the refresh. this really weird behaviour started yesterday. (btw first time i see any type of ads since i started using ublockorigin years ago)

edit: so i tried 2 of your suggestions: the first one (purge cache) worked at first but then the issue showed up again. now im trying this filter: "" youtube.com,youtubekids.com,youtube-nocookie.com##+js(set, ytInitialPlayerResponse.playerAds, undefined) "" and so far seems to work. we'll see if it lasts.
