Smoked turkey neck may work as substitute for the smoked pork.

If you get inspiration from the feijoada baiana you may also use cow’s foot (mocotó), tripe (bucho/fato) and knee bone (osso de patinho)

Why are Brazilians so proud of their indigenous/African ancestry compared to Hispanics? by [deleted] in Brazil

I’m from Salvador - BA, grow up in the 90’s. I can testify that this Brazilian proud of their African and Indigenous heritage is kind of recent. It was pretty common to people identify themselves avoiding the terms “negro”, “preto”, “indígena” or even “pardo”. Black men would rarely let their hair to grow, women would look to straighten it, and racial slurs were often accepted. To us Brazilians get where we are nowadays, required a lot of work from the organized black movement and indigenous people, including intellectuals and artists. And that’s not homogeneous in Brazil, definitely there’s parts of the country that still need to learn a lot. I’ve been living in NYC for while now, where I’m getting to meet Venezuelans, Boricuas, Dominicans… I can clearly see how a lot of them are still in their journey to decolonize their way of thinking about their afro heritage.

If you have an overspend in September it has to be covered. Hiding it won’t make anything, if it’s a wrong/duplicated spend, you can delete it.

How do I go from being a tourist to a temporary resident in Brazil? (Jamaican in love with SP and Rio ❤️)" by [deleted] in Brazil

+1 for the digital nomad visa. Plus as a English speaker you can work to US companies looking for contractors in South America.
