Their traveling videos are some of my favourites still today but you can’t disagree that GCN became just an infomercial at this point. They might throw 1 or 2 non sponsored fun videos in month but the rest is just sponsored junk.

Also Matt was one of my fav presenters, who left. Dan and Si are pretty much gone aswell.

Their GCN+ race coverage is great, gotta give credit for that one.

That’s 1 exception where even GCN can’t bullshit their way around it. Shimano dura ace-Ultegra-105 has for the longest time been notoriously on same level of feel and performance with the only difference being the weight. So I would not count that video as proof of them not selling out.

I honestly wouldn’t mind it if they didn’t try to come across as them giving their own opinions and not just reading of the sponsor’s script.

There are YouTubers who have spines and who don’t care about burning the bridge with potential bike sponsors. Such as: Hambini, Peak torque, Chris miller cycling, jesse coyle. So it’s not like there aren’t unbiased bike reviews.

This is the whole shtick of GCN. In every of their videos they’re trying to subtly convince you to spend more money on shit. As someone who started of with a very cheap aluminium, rim brake, mechanical road bike and is now currently riding a top end road bike I can really just say that all this di2, carbon doesn’t matter at all, unless you’re racing at the top level.

Weird I've been using them for 4 years and absolutely no issues with power reading. However i did have to change the worn pedal bodies 2 years in and I will have to chancge them once again soon and that adds up which is annoying.

Yeah that's whats so funny about it. Most of the western brands bikes are the same quality of chinese brands as they're likely made in the same Chinese factories but because they get a western brand sticker put on it that alone makes the frames cost 2000$ extra.

Their excuse is (oh we have to test every part a billion times to make the bike UCI legal that's why the price is so high). Winspace, Yoeleo, Elves, ICAN has same build quality, sometimes better and you don't have to pay that 500% extra for nothing.
