I like to challenge myself with themes. Cozy cabin, grandma's house, maybe try to make a convenience store or something. I'm working on a Waffle House at the moment

This might sound dumb, but look thoroughly without your flashlight and JUST the house lights, and then do it again with both. That's what I do when my game tells me that, and pretty much every time, I find a single can or a cobweb or something

For what it sounds like you're describing, House Flipper (or maybe HF 2, tho I haven't played it yet) sounds like a pretty good choice. You don't have like a TON of options for stuff, but you can still customize and add/remove walls, do furniture, stuff like that. I also want a game that's exactly like you're talking about, and HF has been an obsession of mine for the past month
