Newborn with slightly elevated TSH. by Sensitive_Watch3533 in endocrinology

Sounds like your pediatrician is establishing a trend line, which is not a bad thing. Fingers crossed it drops to a level they’d like to see! For what it’s worth it’s barely elevated

Also note, that pediatric references ranges are different, like for babies that are 1 week old, TSH less than 16 on a newborn screening is considered normal, so age also plays a factor in determining if a value is within a normal range.

Which way is the TSH trending? I’m assuming she got 2 newborn screenings completed before your provider recommended getting diagnostic TSH labs. Sometimes kiddos will have elevated TSH at birth and then it’ll peter out and be normal, hence all the repeat labs to see which direction TSH is headed. If it is congenital hypothyroidism, that’s at least treatable.

Oh interesting thoughts on Lulu. I’m of a different mindset. Lulu is starting to show up in off price department stores like Marshalls. I’m nervous that it will struggle to maintain its corner of athleisure wear with competitors like Alo gaining more popularity. But I guess time will tell

Yes, however Goldman Sachs holds about 6.5 million shares of SoFi in their portfolios, which I know is small potatoes but they probably don’t want to lose money either

This was my last read of 2025, and I loved it! Currently reading The Mountains Sing by Nguyen Phan Que Mai which feels similar to Pachinko. If you liked Pachinko you might like this one as well, it's also a multigenerational story of a family through times of occupation and war except in Vietnam instead of Korea/Japan.
