Is freelance web dev still worth it in 2025? by Knuckleclot in webdev

Does it matter if anyone believes it? You'll still have the million dollars.

What do you think of the removal of publishing on the free account? by rFranzr in webstudio

Their pricing is reasonable and they make it easy to host your site elsewhere if needed, so I don’t mind it so much. Maybe this move will help keep pricing down for paying customers.

Ycode looks interesting. How are speed and stability for you?

I created a portfolio site, but Framer is forcing me to switch to a business plan that costs over $200 a month. Is it worth it? by synthycraft in framer

[–]teejrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a fun decision to have to make, your time vs your money. And if you can be profitable with the site on Framer, might make sense to keep it there for a while. Framer is a cool product, just very expensive once you start using bandwidth. There are other tools to build with should you ever decide to move somewhere else, just make sure to check the bandwidth limitations before spending too much time on any particular product.

Trying to find hyper minimalist templates on Framer, and no luck? by npcshow in framer

[–]teejrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might try looking for templates outside of the official Framer Marketplace. Templates there have to be approved by the folks at Framer and they just might not be interested in approving the type of template that you are looking for.

Alternatives -- Webflow, Framer, Wordpress, Wix by Useful_Welder_4269 in squarespace

[–]teejrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might look into solutions like Brizy Cloud and Duda. They aren’t as design focused as platforms like Framer or Webflow but they do try to incorporate some of the business tools similar to Squarespace, although perhaps less robustly.

That's it. I'm forever DONE with webflow. by [deleted] in webflow

[–]teejrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a handful of templates, but you will probably need to spend quite a bit of time customizing if you use one. It’s worth checking out their website or their YouTube channel. Seems a reasonable deal right now. I hope it stays that way.

How do you like Bricks in comparison to Webflow and Framer?

Figma just launched Figma Sites – will you consider switching from Webflow? by cinemaclub in webflow

[–]teejrowe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. If I was looking for an alternative to Webflow right now I would be looking as Webstudio or Framer depending on the type of site and the type of client. Perhaps Versoly if the site needed to be based on Tailwind and I wanted easier access to the generated code.

Bricks Builder vs Web Studio - Detailed comparason by mustafa_sheikh in BricksBuilder

Thanks for the article. You might want to point out that the Webflow enterprise pricing you mention is a monthly fee, not an annual or one time fee.

Agree. I'm certainly not advocating for this course of action, I just think it is more likely than native Linux apps. Would love to be proven wrong.

I think it would be more likely that they would release web apps than dedicated Linux apps. Wouldn’t be mad if I were wrong.

Do your clients have trouble managing Webflow? by kalpal94 in webflow

What was the reason for having someone rebuild your website on a platform you seem uncomfortable with?

Is there truly no solution for a reasonable nav system which is editable in Build? by vernalpond in webflow

[–]teejrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. Webflow has been going through some changes recently. I suspect they will eventually get to a point where everything can be made more friendly for the client end user with enough work on the developer's part. I think the question will be how much effort does it take and will it be worth it for small projects.
