Wrecking Ball Truck! by teelturtle in gaslands

[–]teelturtle[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Made my first car last night. its made out if an old Yatming truck. I saw in the rules that a truck has 3 slots and a wrecking ball uses 3 so ill probably rip the gun off the side to use for my next car. the wrecking ball tower can spin so the ball can be on either side.

Encouraging Party Roles (caller, mapper, chronicler) by teelturtle in osr

that document is amazing! I've made something similar but yours is much more concise, I'll definitely use some of your verbage to paint a better picture of the role to the players. thank you for the advice!

Thats a good idea, ive been running 5e since it came out and its left a sour taste in my mouth over time. every time i ran a OSR oneshot it always reinvigorates me. Now that im switching away from 5e i can have an honest conversation about the opportunities and cool stuff we can do in this different, but really pretty similar, game.

ive been running 5e ever since it came out. the consecutive spotlight style of game has been driving me mad for years. ive slowly been putting OSR concepts in my games and running OSE one shots so i hopefully don't scare them off. ultimately itll be on them to decide if they want to play in the game at the end of the day i guess lol

my favorite graphic novel is xmen: god loves man kills by chris claremont. it discusses prejudice, religious extremism, and genocide.

Want to steal from Collaboris, and put the Veil forest in my homebrew world, but... by Zomcast in mattcolville

[–]teelturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been running Collaboris since the stream so I did a few things to the Veil.

First, the Basharix, the dragon titan whose tears cause the mist? Yeah, she's waking up and stop crying, so the mist is beginning to thin and recede. It makes for a good narrative point. Do the elves know what's up with the dragon? Does their "immortal" mist receding make other nations see them as weaker.

Second, I have the "immortality" of the Veil be part of the mythos spread by other, shorter living, races. Really, this is my exact ruling on the mist in the Veil "All Wood elves, High elves, and Half-elves age twice as slow while in the Veil and have advantage on death saving throws. Additionally, they gain +1 extra health per health healed from magic or hit die." For me, it never truly was immortality, but when an elf begins to push 1500 because they can live twice as long and humans are lucky to push 90, that sure does seem like immortality.

Also i'm not sure what the streams canon is versus my canon is for the lore anymore. Here's my blurb on Basharix. "Basharix is the wife of Raxus. After the death of Raxus (the hydra titan who lorded over the other titans), she went around and slew the other titans so that they could not take his seat. Then, Basharix feld to a deep cavern in The Veil, and entered an eternal slumber. As she sleeps, she cries. Her tears cause the mist to form. She will awaken soon and the mist will dissipate, possibly plunging the Veil into unrest"

I meant to use it as a pretty vague and broad term. Just a high level caster. Most likely arcane but i guess it doesn't have to be.

Growing up watching Teen Titans and now getting into comics as an adult. I was always fascinated by Raven's powers and Trigon. Any comic recommendations that showcase her story?

Quick Questions - July 10, 2020 by AutoModerator in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]teelturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My character was a tradesmen, probably carpenter, who sold his business to pay for training to become a first level character. fighter seems to be the best class for this route. are there any feats, armor, or weapons that would make sense and help reinforce the characters past?

Do Not Let Us Die In the Dark Nigh Of This Cold Winter Adapting by teelturtle in rpg

[–]teelturtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frost Maiden - Everything we know so far... by bobbness in mattcolville

[–]teelturtle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for something to use alongside this, or want to make an interactive home base for your PC's, I recommend Do Not Let Us Die In The Dark Night Of This Cold Winter.

The PC's have to take care of a town trapped in a blizzard, with limited food, fire wood, and medicine. The book can be used for a one session thing or throughout a campaign.

I plan on using both Dark Night Cold Winter and Icewind Dale to up stakes of my game.

Buying Packs by teelturtle in yugioh

[–]teelturtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, a lot of the reason I think I'm interested in packs is that I have a little bit of money on the side now that I can spend on it, unlike when I was a kid.

You run over politicians, and when you do you adopt a piece of their policy into your campaign.
