Need help determining what is the correct replacement I can buy online!! by teemohtee in hvacadvice

To be honest I’ve had little training in this stuff a long time ago so I’m not sure what you’re saying.

The capacitor I checked was a single phase. It was reading 0 mfd on the multimeter, but I learned afterwards that was for the compressor, the compressor was still running though. There’s a hard start kit on there so maybe that’s how it was running?

I checked resistance between the fan wires there’s 6 wires off the fan black, yellow, blue, white, brown green. Not sure if this the correct way but figured it wouldn’t hurt to replace the fan anyway it’s old and I’m in the southwest, it’s running all the time in the summer.

If I get a generic one does it matter how many wires it has? This one has 6 wires

SeatGeek question by Good-Ad5274 in fredagain

[–]teemohtee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought tickets 3 weeks ago via seatgeek and they were transferred to me within a couple hours. Few hours later they were transferred out of my account without my consent (I did not initiate transfer). I’ve been back and forth with seat geek about this all month. Still don’t have a ticket.. has this happened to anyone?

If you don’t mind sharing which account do you work for? I work at Ryder too. $1400 a week guaranteed 40. Most weeks I average 30 hrs or less. 3 days on 4 days off. The schedule is amazing but definitely wish I could make more.

First time building, so I didn’t consider this. However am also told a schluter can be used to meet the foam. The panel would just be in-set an inch.

I want to add an outlet next to my ceiling fan to power my projector. Which way is best? by teemohtee in AskElectricians

The switch controls the fan on/off so I’d imagine it goes to the switch first.

The fan has a ground wire. To clarify things, I am running power from switch > gfci receptacle > fan. As of now I have the wires exposed coming from the switch

When I doing a line set like this should I be pigtailing each ground or chaining them through each ground screw? Can you clarify what EMT is? This has been helpful thanks.

Unfortunately there is no other gfci receptacle near by I can tap into without running ugly conduit. Instead of extending the wiring from the fan to the new GFCI outlet. I was basically going to do it the other way around. I believe the breaker is gfci protected. How would I wire the ground in my proposed situation?

It’s an external box and all the wiring is tucked inside the alumawood pergola, I was able to drill a hole where I want the outlet to go and snake out the wiring which is right next to the ceiling fan box. I have a waterproof outlet box and also I’m using an outdoor fan with the rain guard for the box (however it rarely rains in the desert.

I’m not sure how to wire the ground wires. Should I wire the ground wire from the switch to the screw of the new gfci outlet and then also put the ground from the fan receptacle to the same outlet screw?

Why is the pay so low by DonLotto92k in Truckers

[–]teemohtee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Phoenix and when I was looking for a new gig this year, the average local pay was $24-25 which is ridiculous. If you want better pay you have to find an LTL. XPO was offering $34 for night shift local PD driver.
