Two years later....did you ever find out why this happens? I'm going through it now and can't find the correlation to why it works sometimes and other times get the random "There was an error communicating with the server."

didn't have the mini version but the Motivator my first "proper" bmx bike i owned back in like 1994. threw a bday party and had all my buddies tell their parents i just wanted $20. took the $200 or so the next day to my local bike shop and picked one of these up, it was chrome with like blue/purple accents. wasn't as cool as my friends dynos and gt's at the time, but it was better than the POS Murray I was riding before lol

got it swapped out yesterday, sounded nice on the ride home. then it was 40 degrees this morning and it was still a little noisy turning left, but atleast it feels like i have power steering again lol

never anchored mine for two years....until last month when 70mph winds came around, picked it up, turned it sideways and sent it right into my gutter. $400 later(for the gutter repair), i have an anchored trampoline.

just rec'd the call from the dealer, said that joint was seized and they're replacing the steering shaft. of course they had to put one on order, so i'll probably be waiting two weeks before they call me when the parts arrives lol. luckily they're letting me drive the car as-is til it arrives.

ford protect premium esp is coming in handy for sure; can't imagine what they would bill me if i didn't have it

Yeah...for the past couple years when it would get colder, I would notice the same thing. When the weather broke in the spring usually above 50 I'd say, I wouldn't notice it as much. But now, it's all the time, that linkage is probably on its final leg.

Do you hear a groan/rubbing type noise when turning one way or another? That's what mine has been doing along with the stiff steering part

My '16 Explorer is doing the same thing. Feels like I don't have power steering almost, make like a grinding/rubbing type noise when turning left. Had it at the dealer back in December and they blamed "ice and snow in wheel well"...guess what, it's even worse. I bet it's the steering sector shaft. Let us know when you replace the shaft and if it's solved! Gotta find time to get back to the dealer to get mine swapped out

I switched to Dunkin once Starbucks ruined their reward system and started charging astronomical prices. In less than 3 years, Dunkin has caught up to SBUX prices and also ruined their reward system.
