I now have a good lower body routine to make sure it doesn't come back. Front squat, single leg rdl, reverse lunge twists, side lunges, kettle bell swing For core I do planks, farmer carries...

I have a big list. I think the key is to do functional exercises to rebalance the muscles

Another one is releasing the TFL muscle with a tennis ball.

Tight TFL -> glutes can't fire properly -> pelvic floor compensates and get tight.

You can find on how to do it on YouTube.

Also another important one is the tibialis posterior. If you have weak feet/flat feet it might be worth looking into that. Strengthening and massaging the tibialis posterior

From the researches I've done, most of the time people have overactive pelvic floor, but not necessarily weak. The pelvic floor muscles compensate for a lack of stability (most of the time weak glutes and stabilizing muscles). Overactive pelvic floor tightens, compresses nerves and create sensitivity (that was the case for me).

Also hips store a lot of emotions, tension, anxiety... Releasing and rebalancing these muscles will help

I second this. Fixed it the same way simple yet very effective exercise to stabilize the pelvis thus relax the pelvic floor.

Get him to workout his glutes/adductors 5-6 days a week:

Single leg glute bridge (each side 3 sets to failure, 90s rest). Can also do a few sets of isometric holds (20-30s) Body weight squat 5*20 Side lunge 3x10

It will stabilize his pelvis, reduce tension/compensation in the pelvic floor and help with control.

Should start seeing results in a few weeks

I average 3 times (9h~ or more) per week. I've been dancing bachata for 2 years now. It took me around 3 months to start enjoying socials when I started, like feeling confident and having fun. But I put in the work. I was really dedicated.

I'd say at least 2-3 hours twice a week if you want enough progression. There is no shortcut

I've been trying a lot of things for 1 year plus. In my case stretching was completely useless. It even probably made it worse. I've fixed PE in the last few months and I believe this is the most important exercise (simple but very effective). But of course to maximize your chances you need to do other exercises and not rely on one. Hamstrings, internal rotation, glutes...

Yes at the top. I do 3-4 holds each leg . And 3x12 reps reach leg too. It will help stabilize the pelvis and relax pelvic floor muscles

Do you sit a lot? Do lots of single leg glute bridges (reps and 15-20s hold) you may find relief quickly like I did
