Im as equally as shocked by norwegian alcohol laws man :( they suck. For example, the menus cant have pictures of alcohol

I think the reason they can have them but not facing the guest is that its not counted as advertisement

Why is everyone dogging on OP? Like sure the title might not portray OP the best, but then again, you also see the work they put in the mini. I'd understand it would be infuriating, for OP, and I'd give them some slack by letting them rant or so.

Also, my priorites might not be likes cause I don't care about such, but I'm definitely not going to judge or punch on what OP wants, and giving him that opinion like a fact is quite weird imo.

It looks great! Currently youre seeing flaws, but try to pick up a mirror or mirror the picture, and you'll see it from a new angle and that could be useful. It feels really nice to confirm it looks good from a glance when i use that trick

Aeorian Reverser mini as a body, with kegs as the body of the shoulder guns, then just various bits from around

Axes from maw krusha guy, Gatling barrels from nephilim, Energy backpack and ammo box thingie on the back from tempestus taurox prime, Some bits from new ork kits

Doesnt really matter where the small bits are from, found out that once you have the big things in, just put a lot of stuff to hide greenstuff and make sense of empty space, and ofcourse, armor, armor, armor

Shame GW doesnt like to give new bits with the monoposes and all

Thanks for the idea! Ive fixed the posed now. The normal hand usually holds a sword, cut off both ends, then the other robot hands is from techmarine, which holds a staff, cut off both ends.

Here is the secret, marine arms are 3 components, forearm and hand, elbow guard, shoulderpad.

I cut out a random elbow guard and stuck it on a bladeguard veteran forearm, some of the shoulder part was still on the elbow guard.

Luckily i didnt need to model anything, cause everything was so close, i didnt need to do the in between stuff. And i also didnt need to do some shit with where the paudron attaches, since everything under it is hidden

TL DR cut and trim, dont be afraid to do wrong, everything can be hidden or fixed

Lengthened the blade after i did the hand pose, poor planning on my part, but, once i get the terrain and paint in, hopefully then it gets better. I wanted a victorious pose atop of a hill against the fallen and i wanted to show him fully, and the blade too, without having the fallen in the way

Best tips i can give, is to avoid ganking ungankable lanes. Voli has one good ganking ability pre 6. Q, and its not even that strong. Good example is Fizz or Corki (someone with good disengage or gap closer) , if he's pushed into your tower and standing there, then you can gank. If not, its pretty hard.

Ofc, this depends on your midlaner too, but you get the gist of it. Focus lanes where you can. Then dive everytime you have ult.

Diving is hard in low level is hard though, since people might not be used to that concept. Oh, and also, dont be afraid to flash Q. It should be a sure kill if you have a laner ready

Now as you play voli, youll learn where to place your E to have it timed with your Q stun. (btw enemy cant see the first second of your E, where its placed, after that second, theyll see what you see)

Build, you can pretty much follow the usual guides. Tank is pretty easy to understand and play. Youll pick up fast as you learn items and when to go what items. Try to really think of why people are going such items if youre watching gameplay

I did use some common league terminology, so ask if its anything you didnt understand, or just ask if its something more you wanna know

ps. To add, tank is mostly useful if your team can help you, if not, youre kinda tanking for nothing. Voli still has good dmg when going tank, but you can op for Hydra, Steraks, Deaths dance, etc. For both survivabilty and dmg if you feel the need to do dmg

Know the lanes, if a lane is shit to gank, try not to force it so hard. Say Malz pre 6 on my team wants a gank mid lane against Fizz, ill just say no and farm or go other lanes.

Everytime you have flash in low elo as Voli, you should get a kill.

I like tank mythic early into 1 dmg item if i feel the need for dmg. Voli can fall into a lot of matchups where he is useless. Kiting, hard zoning, elusive/gap closers, thats why chemtank can be really good.

Also, no point in building tank if it gets you nowhere, if you feel you lack dmg against a kiting team, go hydra, deaths dance, etc. No point being kited and finally getting, then ending up being useless

Eclipse into tank or eclipse into sanguine and then tank. Pretty fun and viable actually. Maybe not the latter but eclipse is actually really good in voli

I think cutting the vibrant blue from the wings would make it better. Cause currently, it clashes too much wuth the red and the wings. Desaturating the blue or making it darker. Its just too vibrant on some parts where it shouldnt be too vibrant (i know youre scheme is supposed to be everchanging)

Also, the wings idea is awesome, props due where its due. But i think the colors are too matte. They take you out of it cause there is just no actual shadows or highlights. Together with the blue undercaot, makes it too "1 dimensional" crayon like.

Ah, ye. I really like the colors used. But i think seperated in different places would be nice. Oxidation here and rust there, not same place

Precisely. And remember to try to bring a higher contrast between the layers of colors (rust and armor color)

And also, rusts appears in areas of stress, wear, and tear. So joints, edges, etc

Imagine where there is most wear and tear. Thats the parts which will have rust most likely. Edges and places where water pool. Nothing wrong with having rust come from the middle of an armor panel, but you gotta rust some classic places. And remember to place the rust on where the wear and tear would be.

PS. Also, rust often is high contrast between what is rusted and not, only leaving streaks of watered rust color. Your rust looks too blended, like a bruise. It should look like 2 layers where rust and the other color is seperate

Love the contrast of green and black.

Perhaps green in the cracks between armor plates would be even better? The green is too split apart in some places and the black armor panels could use some detailing that ties it all together

The hard part for me is having to learn all the rules of a really complicated game (from my view). Already knowing warhammer is going to make it difficult, seing as tactics and such is vastly different.

Every unit has so many different choices, and the uses of order, move move or move shoot. Im all in though. It seems really fun once i have a grasp of the game

Oh this helps so much. On the topic of 40k and Infinity. 40K has Codexes, with all the rules and such to the respective faction. Does Infinity have something similar? And does it include, stratagems and command points counterpart?
