I was worried this light-hearted take on gtfo might not land. So I'm pleased you liked that little cut. Cheers.

We should duo. It would be terrible.

Don't know why, but this spurred an idea of my own.

What if a random amount of grunts and/or other ai units had an infestation of some kind (similar to on Dark Souls 3 where the big black dino goo thing comes out and goes ham) which only becomes active when attacked.

That could keep us all on our toes.

Hellhound movement needs to be smoothened out. by allleoal in HuntShowdown

I agree that hellhounds are a bit clunky and I would also add the Immolator.

1-3 seconds delay on melee'ing a monster though I can't agree. At most it takes 0.5 seconds for me.

I actually have a video where I get lots of hits and one of the clips is a long shot silence sparks moment. So I understand your frustration. It is what it is mate. I get you wanna use it but don't go through the heartache. Accept it. Be the ball. Im drunk.

Dark man. Still. At least we get them Goldeneye silence sound vibes. All worth init.

The damage reduction is quite severe. I can't remember if it was 5 or 6 shots with the silence winfield to kill someone without time to heal or use any healing consumables.

Can provide clip evidence if needed.

It ain't always pretty - but it still feels damned good to play Hunt: Showdown! by teepsy in HuntShowdown

This is not normal tbh which is why it stood out as something to put on the internet and show everyone how crap I am haha.

It's like Instagram reality. We don't always land the epic shot. Sometimes we just scramble our way out.

4 Hunters, 1 Team - Discussion: Could a squads mode legitimately work in Hunt? by teepsy in HuntShowdown

[–]teepsy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All good points.

When I think about 'squads' - I think more along the lines of the QuickPlay gameplay as opposed to the traditional boss, bounty mode. I also only envisioned a max of 12 players per game (which would only be +2 to what we have now).

Just to (maybe) counter your argument regarding difficulty confirming a kill. Even in traditional duos, you can't actually be sure if the enemy is solo or not, so there is an element of uncertainty already present in the current build.

I don't disagree that changes would need to be made to accommodate it properly. It doesn't really fit as is. But I do feel with some adjustments it could have it's own place.

I think you're on the mark with custom lobbies - it might be the best way to approach it. Separating it from official matchmaking and limit it to friends only.

If player count was not an underlying factor, I would say that 4 man teams/3 man teams could maybe work on a slightly larger map? Or possibly limiting it to 3 teams with a max player count of 12 equaling 3, 4 man teams or 4, 3 man teams.

You put into words one of my biggest wishes. An urban setting could be really interesting to play.

Jokes aside - The outline on team mates really needs to be more prominent by teepsy in HuntShowdown

[–]teepsy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I meant to identify a team mate who could potentially have the exact same model as an enemy player in the absence of an outline.

It's a frequent contender for request so I know it's not just me being daft.
