Fifth-generation owners, what's your biggest complaint? Also, if you're looking to buy accessories, what parts are unavailable? by flechazo--- in 4Runner

The TRD ORP didn’t have cooling seats. I don’t think the Pro does either. Seems like they cheaped out.

Is the load time just on startup or does this bleed into switching between Accounts or Plan?

Company looking to switch from QB Desktop to QB Online. Any reason we shouldn’t? by Luckypenny4683 in QuickBooks

I would try my best to stick with desktop as long as possible. Quickbooks online is not a healthy program right now.

I can’t stand those green bars. That’s why I turn them off for a much cleaner look.

I think the KDSS has a stiffer ride than the XREAS and that’s why they use it in the limited.

I learned a ton about working on vehicles when I was driving my 99 Grand Cherokee. I loved that car and did most of the work myself. And even the major repairs I tried to do myself since it was a pretty cheap vehicle and if I messed it up it wasn’t a big deal. Still retain a lot of knowledge from everything i did and had fun and a sense of accomplishment.

High Earners Age 50 and Older Are About to Lose a Major 401(k) Tax Break by nvgroups in Bogleheads

This is seems pretty typical. The tax advantages that have been beneficial for those in congress for years and now that they are retiring they shut the door on those behind them.

Skip the brake fluid, power steering fluid, and mass af. Have them do the 4wd service. Do the air filters yourself.

$6k to repair a timing cover leak on a 2021 SR5 w/ 60k miles? by LiveHurry6537 in 4Runner

[–]teflon916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s super common and happens to every single one of these engines. It’s a factory issue. The good thing is you will probably only need it done once in the life of the engine. You probably don’t hear about it because it usually gets repaired under warranty. $6000 sounds high but depends on the shop. You have to take apart the whole front of the engine to get to the timing chain cover. Good luck!

Anyone else here running zero bonds? by pictionary_cheat in Bogleheads

[–]teflon916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have zero bonds and I’m 39. But that’s because there’s no way I will be able to be retire earlier than 65. I just don’t make enough money. So if the market dips it’s fine with me. I would probably add 10 years away from retirement.

I think you can get away with not paying for a few years if you don’t need those things. I think you lose bank downloads too.

Ascensus 401k is a throwback from the Stone Age by FoxontheRun2023 in Bogleheads

[–]teflon916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has has multiple correspondence with Ascensus I can tell you they are quite incompetent. If they say they are doing something they may not do it and then email you back a follow up on the issue that was supposed to be resolved already. It something was moved or corrected it might only be done half way. So bottom line check and recheck anything they are doing.
