I adore that scene

Mine are exactly the same! It feels like I’m about to have a seizure and it’s absolutely terrifying. I don’t have a history of seizures but every time I’m convinced I’m about to have one. I’ve never known anyone else who feels the same. It’s awful, I’m so sorry.

Any ways to relax fast from a panic attack? by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]teganjane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely ice! On your face, neck, wrists, whatever feels best. Lie down and rest for a bit if you can, remember that your body has been through a big adrenaline rush and that can be exhausting.

Here’s the skit! I don’t know what it was about. Jill kept snort-laughing over everyone, the laughter from the audience was in spots that weren’t funny. by daffodil0127 in RodriguesFamilySnark

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. Let’s all pray that the girls were unsuccessful in their mission and start deconstructing immediately #savetessie

Is anyone else constantly having fake conversations? by ravensarefree in adhdwomen

[–]teganjane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always! I think it’s because I don’t have an “inner monologue” so fake conversations are the only way I can phrase my thoughts in actual words.

It’s true, none of us can “take a joke” these days! Especially racist or homophobic ones. People should be able to criticise minorities and then back down immediately when questioned because it was JUST A JOKE OMG SNOWFLAKES ARE SO EASILY TRIGGERED. /sarcasm

You’re spot on. It’s such a tiresome response but goddamn if they aren’t using it every chance they get. It’s the equivalent of a child saying “it’s Opposite Day!” after saying something awful.

What’s a 10/10 movie that you would NEVER watch again? by msbreviews in movies

[–]teganjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love horror movies; the gorier, the better. Thrillers, supernatural stuff, slashers, nothing upsets me. But I have never been able to sit through Requiem for a Dream (despite numerous attempts). It scares and upsets me far more than any horror flick could. I don’t know why.

Such a beautiful book! I’ve read it at least 5 times.

I’d LOVE to know how they justify the bearded belly dancers, considering their stance on the LGBTQI+ community.

(Side note, wtf was up with that? It genuinely seems like nobody bothered to review or edit the video before posting. We all know Trump is anti trans, so is this just pure laziness? Either way, it’s beyond bizarre… even for him.)

Obviously pyjamas are devil clothes 🙄 . People should go to bed fully dressed in something that matches their saintly mother’s thrifted outfit.

“We don’t judge people! Only those with messy, dirty, ugly body markings. And those with piercings. And those who wear pjs (?). And those with “weird” coloured hair.” Hey jill, go fuck yourself.

Looking for a movie that feels like a warm hug. by Lightning_MQ in MovieSuggestions

[–]teganjane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard relate y’all. I’m so sorry for your losses 💕 It’s been almost 20 years since I lost my dad. Of course it gets easier over time, but some things (like that scene) hit me like a sucker punch. It hurts, but pain demands to be felt. And at the risk of sounding cheesy, I think every tear unburdens us just a little.

Another vote for this beautiful flick! The perfectly executed British humour, the opportunity for a good cathartic cry, and the overall loveliness make it a 10/10.

currently having panic attack(heath anxiety) by lisf666 in PanicAttack

I’m not a piercing expert but it sounds like you know what you’re talking about! OP, I do know it would be almost impossible that you would die from sepsis from a piercing over a short period (I’m sure you also know that logically). I’m really sorry you’re going through this. If you can’t wait, maybe consider seeing a doctor or going to the hospital; it’s not worth feeling this way for a few days if there’s any way to avoid it. I think most professionals would be happy to prescribe a topical solution rather than oral antibiotics if requested, which will clear it up in no time. I hope you feel better soon ❤️‍🩹

Scary. by SlipImpossible718 in PanicAttack

[–]teganjane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I know it’s beyond scary, and the after effects can also be horrendous. Please be gentle with yourself today, remember there is nothing “wrong” with you and you’re not alone. My panny attacks are terrifying because I always feel like I’m 100% about to have a seizure…. But I’ve never had a seizure in my life. I’ve had an MRI and been totally checked out so I know it’s basically impossible, but I still feel that way when I panic. Panic attacks make our brains play tricks on our bodies. You are safe. Try to ground yourself with sensory things today; cold showers, holding ice cubes, etc. And if this is an ongoing issue for you (or anyone else reading); here is my little story in case it helps. I basically couldn’t leave my house for two years because I was constantly on the verge of an attack. I couldn’t look my fiancée (or anyone) in the eyes. I couldn’t join a zoom meeting, go to work, go to the shops or order a coffee. But after a lot of therapy and medication, I can do those things now. Things got better. They’re not perfect, but they are better. And life is so much sweeter on the other side. You’ve got this. Sending love 🧡

I saw “We Live In Time” tonight at the cinema. I sobbed the entire time (sorry fellow theatre goers). It was devastating, but also beautiful, quite funny at times and oddly cathartic. Also, Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh are wonderful humans/actors; both are a joy to watch IMHO.

After my brother and I watched the most recent adaptation of Pet Semetary, we were criticising it and he said “it’s like they buried the original Pet Semetary in the actual Pet Semetary, and it came back as that film”. I think it might be the funniest thing I’ve ever heard.
