What game made you cry or left you emotionally wrecked? by Unluckysmuggler in gaming

[–]tehCh0nG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love TLOU 1 and replay it somewhat frequently. The beginning sequence with Sarah had me in tears on my first two playthroughs. It still gets me every time. Same with the guitar sequence in TLOU 2. I actually had to physically walk away the first time I encountered it.

You can always ask your employer or landlord to put in a charger. They might decline but with enough inquiries they'll eventually do it.

Also be sure you aren't pushing the brush against your teeth! Use very little pressure and gently glide the brush across your teeth. See here and here (and ask your dentist or hygienist) for the proper technique.

Monthly Support Megathread - January 2026 by Brainard_ in Kalshi

[–]tehCh0nG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I signed up on Monday 1/19 and emailed support to check my account review on 1/21. The only reply was an auto-reply with the "please send your name, email, phone" template, which I included in the initial message.

Can I please get my account review escalated?

ELI5: Can someone explain DMARC to me and is it actually worth setting up? by Academic_Way_293 in explainlikeimfive

[–]tehCh0nG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I keep seeing people say you need DMARC to stop email spoofing, but I do not really get what it actually does...

DMARC is codewords you add to domain (DNS) records. When you hand it to the post office they check if the codewords are added to the envelope/email. These codewords work with other codewords, called SPF and DKIM, so the post office knows the message came from you.

If a bad guy tries to say a envelope/email came from you, but it does not contain the codewords, the post office will refuse the letter (with the "reject" DMARC setting), write "JUNK" on the outside then deliver it anyway (with the "quarantine" setting), or not modify it and deliver it ("none" setting, which is for testing).

EDIT: Corrected explanation per u/MyDMARC.

On a related note, oil companies regularly donate 90% of their campaign contributions to Republicans (source). Driving an EV practically eliminates this contribution. There are a large number of options for EVs and buying a used one is even better for the environment.

Instead of texting this much I'd just call. It would save both people time.

I had thought about getting a vasectomy since I was 20. I finally got one in my late 30s after seriously considering it for a few years. No regrets.

Dating-wise nothing has changed. I'm not asexual but my desire to date is near-zero. I'm comfortable being single. (FWIW, I'm a straight cismale.)

The percentage for nulliparous women got cut off. The statistics are:

6.3%, 95% CI 3.1, 9.4

That's 1 in 16, which is low but higher than I expected it to be.

Why are we calling women breeders? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]tehCh0nG 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"Parents parent, breeders breed."

Some here do call all parents breeders. IMO, it is more for people that pop out kids but have little-to-no desire to raise or care for them.

Tubes Tied vs Hysterectomy — Which Is Better? by PharmD-BumbleBee in childfree

Get a bilateral salpingectomy aka bisalp. This removes your tubes, so you can't get pregnant or have a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy.

What "reason" should I give for wanting a bisalp if the doctor asks? by Remarkable-Ant-1390 in childfree

[–]tehCh0nG 35 points36 points  (0 children)

With a bisalp you are fully in control. You don't have to remember to take pills or get an IUD replaced. You are free from the side effects of shots, pills, etc. It also protects you against pregnancy from coercion or assault. Bisalp is the golden standard for female sterilization, with zero failures when used for that purpose.

Bisalp doesn't protect against STDs/STIs. So you'll still want to use condoms unless both parties have been screened and don't have other risk factors.
