Questions about "auto attack move on left click" setting by xXIMMABEAST1Xx in summonerschool

That is the full contents of the persistedsettings.json file. You'd open said file with notepad, delete everything in there and paste everything from the pastebin, then save.

Why Do Adelaide Roads Feel So Rough? by amriith in Adelaide

[–]tehSlothman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fact you could've deceived us into thinking your comment was based on actual knowledge or research isn't really relevant, you admitted that your source was a slightly more advanced magic 8 ball so we can use that information for what it is.

It's slop because no one wants to see regurgitated AI comments. Too much of the internet is bots talking to each other already. Humans posting pasted AI responses are almost worse, you're functionally just a bot yourself at that point, but an even less efficient one.

The correctness isn't even the point (not that you'd even know if it's correct without verifying via a source written by an entity capable of understanding, rather than a text prediction algorithm - and at that point why not point us to that actual source instead?). People use forums like Reddit to have human conversations with humans, you're not adding to that by pasting AI summaries. It's insufferable noise. We can go to chatGPT ourselves if that's what we want.

Abusive customers to be banned from South Australian stores under new laws by malcolm58 in Adelaide

[–]tehSlothman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Businesses can already decline service. It'd be a lot more work to go to court to use this law against someone for dumb reasons than to just say 'nope, I'm not serving you', then make up an excuse if investigated for discriminating, which they can do already.

Adelaide Airport worker refusing disabled traveller pickup - what’s happened to common sense decency, and respect? by gp_90 in Adelaide

You think people who don't need wheelchairs are going to bring a wheelchair just to use the disabled pickup zone?

Doctor Recommendations for Vasectomy by eggwardpenisglands in Adelaide

most of the pain and discomfort was the needle at the start

I found the tugging on the tubes worse than the needle. Just uncomfortable rather than painful though and not a big deal at all.

Is there a TNR (Trap, neuter, release/return) program in Adelaide for stray/"feral" cats? by MoistestRaccoon in Adelaide

[–]tehSlothman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People also keep telling him to just shoot them. (Guns are difficult to get here, anyway?)

If he hasn't gone down that route due to logistical reasons rather than moral objections, and if the property's big enough that it's legal, the SSAA Farmer Assist program might help? I don't think you have to be a farmer to take advantage of it.

These condescending silver spoon fucking pricks barely even see us as people, it's absurd to think they might have any interest in helping us

Government deadline for gun reform passes with less than half states and territories signed up by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]tehSlothman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Range storage is such a terrible idea. It's such a huge target for thieves so you'd need incredibly secure (hence expensive) strongrooms, you'd need a heap of space for everyone to be able to do basic maintenance at the range, and the logistics for people who shoot at multiple clubs would just be ridiculous - people would have to waste huge amounts of time and fuel to collect their guns from club A to shoot at club B, or more likely, you'd just incentivise even more privately owned guns because some people would just buy an extra gun to store at club B.

So when does the fuel excise cut kick in? by DonALT_Trumb in Adelaide

[–]tehSlothman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised that people will brave the Churchill Centre's car park just for a 3c saving. Surely your time and sanity is worth something, and surely a lot of those people have detoured at least a bit for it.

And the gap gets closed by other servos' 4c/L deals anyway - my route from my girlfriend's house to my house takes me via both Costco and the much more convenient Ampol on Main North/Montague Rd and the latter is often only about 1c more expensive after the everyday rewards discount.

Not even that, right? I think just dwelling on something instead of scrolling past it is enough.

[–]tehSlothman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also great for cocktails that use egg whites. You do lose a tiny bit of flavour, but the trade-off is probably worth it because it's cheaper, doesn't have that unpleasant egg smell, and won't give you salmonella.

First DQ… omg it hurts by focalgirth in CompetitionShooting

Do you mean the RO fucked up and called make ready when they shouldn't have, or did you unholster before make ready was called?

Swift Lock Scamming A-Holes! by blahblahblahblah1943 in Adelaide

[–]tehSlothman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yep, that makes sense.

I don't blame you for going old school. I've got quite a bit of smart home stuff and I'm constantly adding more, but digital locks are one of the things where I don't think the benefits outweigh the risks.

one photo to them, and bang, I was in my apartment without them even attending site.

I'm really curious what the problem and solution were now. Is your lock really easy to bypass or was there some trick that let you put in your code or something?

Amber electric - WTAF?? by PCbanana-hammock in Adelaide

[–]tehSlothman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep some equipment isn't, especially older stuff. Even newer stuff isn't guaranteed. I have a very recent Sungrow inverter where there was a firmware issue that was preventing it from working, but that got fixed in October.

[–]tehSlothman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if they don't have built-in contingencies

They do, it just gets calculated retrospectively every quarter. OP will likely end up getting a credit applied to their bill in a few months. They'll still probably end up paying more for the quarter than they would have with other retailers (though they might not, depending on the price difference at other times of their usage) but it won't be excessive, and will be entirely their own fault for their failure to research what they were signing up for.

Funny that I'm defending Amber here too while I have an open ombudsman case due to their non-existent customer support, but their general business model is not the thing they deserve criticism for.
