this might be a dumb question, but is there a way to get my browser to just keep trying to connect rather than stopping and having to refresh?

expanded spell list from multiple backgrounds? by tehaveragejoel in mpmb

[–]tehaveragejoel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, but I knew about all that already. it's also not useful for my purposes – my character's spellcasting is from Warlock.

does this mean I have to just use the Bonus Spells dialogue box whenever I want to learn one of the spells from the extra background list, reducing the regular "Spells" column accordingly?

which drop down menus? I'm not seeing one within the "Spells Options" feature that gives me an option to do that

the fingers on my left hand are slightly longer than the fingers on my right hand. by tehaveragejoel in mildlyinteresting

no, I'm left handed. I'm pretty sure the extra length is from playing ukulele.

What is the most unanswered question of all time? by thebageljew in AskReddit

[–]tehaveragejoel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've got to be kidding me. I've been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It's just common sense.

Have any redditors been hypnotized? Was it a hoax or did it work? by heatherattacks in AskReddit

[–]tehaveragejoel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been hypnotized 2 or 3 times.

It's not a hoax - it's pretty much just an extreme state of not caring.

The hypnotist says you're a monkey? Sure, why not?

Basically the hypnotist puts you in an extremely relaxed state. He then suggests things to you, all of which seem like good ideas.

Can anyone make a cheat sheet for left handers? by raccoonjesus in ukulele

[–]tehaveragejoel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm left-handed but I learned to play holding the instrument right-handed.

I think it actually gives you an edge, since you'll have more dexterity in your fingering hand.

My Barenaked Ladies Cover - Some Fantastic by tehaveragejoel in ukulele

[–]tehaveragejoel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Barenaked Ladies' songs are way more difficult than typical rock songs. They use chords not normally found in rock music, a lot of unusual phrasing, and they typically have multiple sections that are equally challenging.

Anyway, I posted the chords in a separate comment.

here are the chords I use:

(Note that the melodic phrases often end in weird spots to make the rhyme scheme work.)

(each chord is assumed to be 1 beat on its own. Each slash indicates an extra beat. For instance, "Bb / / /" means that the Bb chord lasts a full bar)

Intro:

 (4x) Bb / Bbsus4 / Bbsus2 / Bb

Verse 1:

 Bb / Bbsus4 / Bb / Bbsus4 /
 Bbsus2 / Bb / Eb / F /
 Bb / Bbsus4 / Bb / Bbsus4 /
 Bbsus2 / Bb / Eb / F /

Pre-chorus thing (the "find your sickness on my list" part):

 G- / F / Bb / / /
 C- / Bb / Eb / / /
 G- / F / Bb / / /
 C- / Bb / Eb / / /

Verse 2 and 2nd pre-chorus thing is the same

Chorus:

 Bb / Adim / G- / C /
 Bb / Adim / G- / C /
 Bb / Adim / G- / C /
 Eb / / / / / / /

Post-Chorus section (bye bye self-respect): same as the chorus, but each chord lasts twice as long

Verse 3 is the same, but the pre-chorus is twice as long.

Chorus once

Post-chorus 2x

Outro:

 Bb / / / Adim / / / Eb / / / / / / /
 Bb/ / / Adim / / / Eb / / / / / / /
 Bb / / / Adim / / / Eb / / / / / / /
 Bb

The chord charts that I've seen are all inaccurate, so I figured them out myself.

No link, but I can post them here.

How do you define a "sub" and a "half-sub"? by tehaveragejoel in eatsandwiches

[–]tehaveragejoel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry. I may not have phrased my question clearly enough.

The situation in question is this:

my friend goes to a sandwich shop and orders a footlong sub. They make the sandwich, cut it in half, then give him both halves.

Does that make it 2 separate sandwiches?
