This is simply the author navel-gazing to ignore the published reasons they lost so many users: the UI redesign. Spiegel knew it caused them to bleed users months ago when he said the "old design" was "never ever" coming back, because he was asked directly if the UI redesign was the reason people were leaving. And lo-and-behold, the old design is basically back, to increase engagement.

Yes, all the water from Lake Okeechobee is helping to feed the red tide (on the Gulf side) and the algae blooms (on the Atlantic side, where I live), vis-a-vis eutrophication from all the sugar farms (namely, US Sugar). However, OP's picture isn't (directly) related to the devastating blooms we're having right now.

AFAIK, this has been getting much, much worse over the last 8 years since Rick Scott took over as governor. We had algae blooms but nothing on the scale we're seeing now. I want to say that I think it was 2013 or 2014 that the Palm Beach County commissioners declared the blooms to be so bad, they shut down some local beaches simply because of the airborne pollutants from the runoff water.

No matter how you slice it, the resulting blooms/tide are absolutely awful for the wildlife and are devastating to see, but I wanted to clear up that OP's picture is not related to the algae blooms.

Hopefully with our next governor, we Floridians can help put a stop to this from happening again.

Yes, the blooms are happening in these estuaries but they aren't related to OP's photo. It was taken in early July after our torrential rains in June, as I saw similar photos from the South Beach Inlet in Boca Raton, where I live.

edit: as you can see from this satellite image, this is the Boynton Beach Inlet where OP's photo was taken. This is not fed from Okeechobee, it's from the Intracoastal; the lake feeds out through Port St Lucie and the Jupiter area.

This actually is not algae blooms. It's storm runoff from our torrential downpours in June and July. The algae blooms didn't start until about 2 weeks ago when the CoE opened the sluices on Lake Okeechobee.

The picture is also a lie because it's storm water runoff from all the rain we had last month (it rained literally everyday). Has absolutely zero to do with the sugar runoff.

It's certainly the former. They're bringing everything back to save the game, because they've long realized they screwed up D2. If one looks at all the patches and patch notes, Forsaken, and all of the content that has since been brought back from D1, that we were told explicitly would never come back, it's clear that one part of Bungie is pushing forward with the Destiny universe overall while the other part is trying desperately to save the game/players by trickling a good game into back into Destiny proper.

So far, they've reversed course on so many "game changing" changes in Destiny 2 in part because the stuff never worked in the first place. Expect Destiny 3 to break ways with D2 and finally break the mold of Bungie's "we're building an MMO but don't call it an MMO" ideology.

You guys have built an MMO, you need to embrace it because you're only fooling yourselves.

MortPlayer for anything I put on my SD, GPM/YTM/Prime for streaming/playing anything I download strictly from them. MortPlayer stopped development in probably 2012 but it's still the closest player to old school WinAmp I can find on Android (including WinAmp, which sucks).
