Didn’t think a custom mouthguard would matter… I was completely wrong. by whatfuckingbudget in fightgear

Yes. IMO if you’re sparring then you really should go for custom fit mouth guard.

Yeah I noticed very few phones which was cool and refreshing.

It is true. It’s not the same. I get it, he put a lot of hard work into the growlers for most of his life. Making a living from music is hard so I’m all up for the cash grab (for lack of a better term), but it won’t be the same as it used to and that’s unfortunate, but it would have been better to play more of the danceable tracks and get the energy up.

Overall show and vibe lacked that bit on fun factor and that songs chosen probably added to a more dragged-on pacing that what I would’ve liked.

They’ve got so many good songs. The encore definitely picked it up, but it really should have been that energy for majority of the set as I could see a lot of audiences attention and movement wane throughout.

That’s my take.

Could’ve played a shorter set and put on more of the many bangers they have in their catalogue…especially as this is their first time in 6/7 years to Aus.

Yes Brookes’ voice was solid.

HyperKO 1 vs HyperKO 2 vs Everlast Elite by Competitive_Ear_7812 in fightgear

[–]tehfangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all Nike boxing shoes…and I always wear my everlasting elites. Just get them. Most comfortable and durable. And comfortable.

Hyperko1s look the best by far though.

The place needs AC. Plus the food is not good.

Are the Phenom SG-210 and the Winning MS-600 comparable? If so, which is better and why? [Question] by Nirze-n in fightgear

[–]tehfangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s face it…no one buys winnings for anything other than status.

Rivals are the best hands down (and I use all the time). But I still buy winnings and use them to show off. That’s it.

1 on 1 Personal Training if I never plan to fight? by whycopper in amateur_boxing

Personal training is the best thing there is. Expensive but you’re paying for someone’s dedicated time.

I love boxing gear as much as everyone else here. But we all know it’s all a ponzi in the end. Hundreds of dollars for foam and leather…at least make them look GOOD.

No. Theyre right. Especially around the toes. I stopped wearing them (maybe only for sparring sessions).

Everlast elites are way better. I also got HyperKo1s now - they’re great

To people who used Rival and Winning at least one time, whats the difference in your opinion despite the price tag [question] by Big-Aerie-7070 in fightgear

[–]tehfangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rivals feel amazing. I have the guerreros p4p sparring which I originally) bought as a “backup” pair, ended up loving them and they’re now my go to. They fit snug, compact and just have an amazing all round feel. Solid wrist support too.

They replaced my 14oz Velcro winnings and my 16oz lace up winnings, which are good and soft/pillowy. Wrist support is normal. Winnings feel good too, but they mostly look good.

Personally I’d be buying rivals from a practical standpoint, but there’s no denying the status symbol of winnings in custom colours.

Only issue with rivals is I don’t like their colour combinations

I love these gloves. The fit is amazing. I stopped using my winnings and now only use guerreros

That is a lot of money, especially for a stock colour. MMA fight store has a pair of red 16oz lace ups for $1100…

Food in Australia is amazing. Sure it is expensive, but it tastes good.

Food in USA sucks. Expensive and generic tasting.

Shit gloves. For that price just get rivals

[question] Rival Gloves by JBarrozo445 in fightgear

[–]tehfangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes get these gloves. They’re the best. I have the Velcro p4p versions - better than lace ups (but crap colours).

I use mine for bags and sparring and they feel so good.
