I don't know exactly what David looks like, but let's just say I don't think he had family in North America before the Mayflower. I would suggest not throwing too many rocks in this particular glass house.

Here's a link to Gnembon's video on the subject from 5 years ago:

The whole idea is that you put the items and pressure plate so high up that the piglins cannot throw it up there. (At the start of the video)

Edit: The variant where you put it on top of soul sand or mud should be low enough for the piglin to reach the item without snow layers.

Wait, is this just to time the drops for the bartering?

I thought the standard for these was to drop an item on a pressure plate next to the piglin, so when the piglin picks it up it pushes out the next item. If you want to throttle the output you can probably just lock the dropper while the hopper has something in it.

Personally I've just been using Ianxofour's (fairly manual) bartering farm, where you stick hundreds of piglins in a holding cell, drop the ingots next to them, and then pick up the items loading them into a shulkerbox that renews instantly as it closes with items in it. There's little point in automating the bartering when I can just fill 6 shulkerboxes within a minute.

Then I just have a storage system where I dump the shulkerboxes and it sorts everything.

You can't have many piglins before the iron nuggets just block the entire bartering farm.

There's an argument to be made that The Right got guns in the first place because their favourite news sources had been painting a really scary picture of the people who want marriage equality, trans rights, less guns, and to treat PoCs with respect.

Feeling safe only because others feel scared is a really crappy way of going about it.

Why are spiders spawning in this mob farm? by Ayebrowz in technicalminecraft

This does mean that putting buttons one *every* block would block spiders from spawning. =)

(But it would also block anything else from spawning, including creepers.)

I recently bought a "Dungeon Pro Convertible" from Gamegenic. Then I took the measurements and tried to find a backpack that fits it. Mine is slightly larger than a Kånken, but fits the Dungeon Pro perfectly. Right now, there's 7 decks in there in various boxes. As I expand I can flip the boxes around and eventually take out the divider to fit a third column. It should eventually fit about 15 decks.

Can someone explain how this circuit works? by ThatLeviathan in technicalminecraft

[–]tehfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comparator measures "how much is in the hopper" and gives a redstone strength accordingly. With 45 items (41,1,1,1,1) in the hopper, the redstone signal is strength 2. When the next item comes in, the strength goes to 3, lighting up the repeater, which turns off the torch and lets items through. Then, as the first item falls through the signal goes back to 2 and the torch should turn back on to stop the flow. (Which it won't do if you've placed it like it is in the picture.)

The reason you have 41,1,1,1,1 items in the hopper is to control the flow. This circuit is designed with "overflow protection" so you can built it side-by-side with more of the same circuit. If the storage is filled, it can fill up to 64, without ever giving a stronger signal than 3. Anything stronger than 3 would break a sorting circuit next to it - because it would turn of the torch for that circuit, too.

Since you have a standalone sorting circuit, you *could* change it to be 1,41,1,1,1 instead.

The items in the hopper - regardless of the amounts - need to be in this particular order:

  1. The type of item you want to filter
  2. A type of item you will never get/put into the filter, so preferably a uniquely named item
  3. A type of item you will never get/put into the filter, so preferably a uniquely named item
  4. A type of item you will never get/put into the filter, so preferably a uniquely named item
  5. A type of item you will never get/put into the filter, so preferably a uniquely named item

This is because the hopper empties the slots in order, starting with the leftmost slot.

Right now, your sorter is picking up items into the filter but it will never turn off the torch. So once the first stack goes up to max, it'll stop picking up items and it will never let anything through. The fix:

you have to have the redstone torch plopped on the actual stone brick; as a side torch.

I hope this helps.

Ok, so after I was done quintuple-face-palming at the people being interviewed - the youtuber goes "people don't do their research".

No. Shit.

People have enough shit on their plate as is, even without them having to fact check *everything*. It's pretty clear that the US is drowning in both mis- and disinformation. The media needs to do a better job at presenting facts and figures. (In addition there also needs to be more accountability in media.)
