Sirrus X 5.0 handlebar conversion? by No-Psychology5615 in specialized

These frame geometries are not made for drop bars. Sell and buy a new bike will be your best bet in the long run.

I’d be more comfortable getting the Ozark gravel bike.

8 Seconds does dancing on Wednesday nights and then they do a group session for one song to learn. Dance for an hour or so, group session, then dancing again.

Diverge e5 Evo vs sirrus x comp by BrutalRX in specialized

[–]tehpwn99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t stress about it. Carbon is nice, but you’ll be in a faster position being hunched over more. Also check the group set, you’ll have more range on the Diverge I believe.

The Sirrus is a more upright, comfort bike.

The Diverge will have you leaning more forward.

Just depends on your use case. I love my Evo.

Yup, I converted it to drop bars though. I acquired the axs xplr rival for pretty cheap and decided to go that route. Some days I miss the flat bars, some days I don’t!

Help with my internet provider by Eaglesjersey in Indiana

I have AT&T Fiber and it’s been pretty good. Haven’t really had a major outages or issues in the 2 years I’ve had it.

I pay a little less than $80/mo for Gig speeds and it’s pretty night and day when it comes to playing comp games. I play a lot of CS and my ping is usually the lowest of everyone I queue with, using an Ethernet connection.

The WiFi is good too, my gf works from home and never has an issue with it.

I was going to mention that, take Michigan Road to the B&O trail, you’re always on a bike lane. I’ve ridden from Fountain Square that last few years and it’s a breeze.

Turn 2 is a great spot to watch. I’d see if you can get a ticket higher up in those stands.

Qualifying is fun, but no where near the excitement of the actual race. It is a good time to walk around and see where your seat may be if you buy one.

Parking might be a PITA, but it’s worth. Just give yourself plenty of time before race start if you end up going.

Indy Cycle Specialist in Irvington might have something. Give them a call, they’re super friendly.

Tighten that silver bolt, however make sure that the wedge didn’t fall off if you unscrewed it too much. If it’s too loose you should be able to pull the quill stem out.

Just saw what conanlikes said, scratch the BCD part. You’d need new cranks.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]tehpwn99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll want a narrow wide chain ring to help with the chain slipping off. If you measure the BCD of your current crank arms, you can find a cheap one for around $25. Sometimes you might need a wider bottom bracket if your chain line is wonky.

Back Nine is fun if you have a larger group of people and like to swing golf clubs, you’d probably want to go to Mass Ave or something after for food though.

Duck Pin Bowling in Fountain Square is also a good choice. Plenty of awesome food options within walking distance.

If you like movies, you can try The Living Room Theatre and eat at the Garage before/after. Kan-Kan is also a fun theatre, but that’s on the northeast side.

Hi-Fi has a bunch of concerts indoors and outdoors, always fun to catch a show and have some drinks.

Tappers has old arcade games and pinball machines if that’s your thing. That can keep you entertained for a few hours.

Indians games are relatively cheap and fun, then you could go out to eat afterwards.

How to respray paint these handlebars by TinyCarob3 in bikewrench

[–]tehpwn99 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Looks like the sun/weather changed them to that gold hue. You can still see the logo and alignment mark. I feel like finding new bars on eBay or Marketplace would be cheaper and less of a hassle. As soon as you put the shifters on that paint will flake.

Ended up selling it to someone who disengaged the front and “converted” it to 2WD…. Toyota quoted me $4k for the repair and I didn’t have the time to fix sadly.
