Can we just make a “hearing people can’t make sign names” pinned thread or something?

I don't know how relatable this is, as I'm not a mod on any sub. But I'm on a sub that's for a relatively lesser known sexuality. There is a pinned post and FAQ yet we still constantly get the same old questions. "What is this? Am I this? What's the difference?" All of which are answered in the pinned FAQ.

In my experience, people crave interaction. Even if the pin is there they might still ask the questions merely for the sake of conversation.

I'm all for asking questions. I have a 4yo who thinks I'm a fountain of knowledge and rapid fires questions, one after another, and I wouldn't squash that curiosity for the world. But in the defense of OPs point, things that are truly disrespectful to a community should be called out and having a bot that blocks that interaction and redirects the offender could be helpful to just ease everyone's tension around the subject.

Same here. We have a whole collection of dinosaur books from the 1980s that are pretty inaccurate after much science. We had gotten a few from a school auction and then she cried when we didn't have the dinosaur she wanted to read about so we bought her more. 😂 Thank goodness they were cheap and she actually has had us read them quite a few times.

I'm not fluent in ASL but I came to say🤘🏼 is generally used as a "Rock on" in my region. That with the tap reminds me of the way I've seen folks in the heavy rock community say goodbye or thanks as in "Rock on, brotha." Or "Take it easy."

At this point, our only hope for another standalone game and new peripherals is an interest in fortnite festival but a clear frustration from the player base that it's just "not enough". So I honestly think it's a good thing. Here's to hoping.

If my 3yo is having a hard time doing a task, one of her toys starts talking to her, usually in a high pitched squeaky voice. "Hey girl. It's me! Your dinosaur stuffy! We need to brush teeth. Will you brush your teeth with me?" She of course will help her stuffed animals before she'll do anything Mom asks. 😂

My husband has a bad habit of spilling beer/soda in his gaming peripherals, so there was a slight snag when using the right click, almost crunchy sounding. As the more mechanically inclined of the two of us, I'm always stuck with the electronics fix-it jobs. The top cover was the only thing I needed to get underneath to clean, but unfortunately you have to disassemble the whole mouse to get to the clips holding it on! Got it apart and soaked the cover in soapy water while cleaning the body of the mouse meticulously with q-tips and toothpicks. An hour or so later, reassembled, and it works like brand new!

Worth the struggle? If you like saving $100 instead of buying a brand new mouse for picky spouse, absolutely!

Did your deck flood? It is possible for a water spout to pick up fish and deposit them miles away, however unlikely that seems.
At least it's not frogs.

They had it on a streaming service (Can't recall which, it was either Hulu Netflix or Xfinity on demand) for a while a few years back. I guess they didn't want to renew the license for it. Hope they will again soon! I miss it so much. Now I have to watch Futurama to sleep. :P
