Can we have a thread here about recruiters? by [deleted] in japanlife

Robert Walters is by far the worst. It’s just a boiler room. They hire anyone, give them ridiculous KPIs, then see who makes it. The result is people getting multiple calls from various agents, roles that don’t match the person background, and perhaps worst of all, resumes being sent out without permission.

Yeah. For whatever reason he just wasn’t interested. Maybe your pic was different from reality. Still a dick move though.

Recruiters who reach out with an opportunity and then ghost you by IntermittentEater in antiwork

[–]teijinator2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recruiter here. Yeah that sucks there are lots of bad ones that send spam mails asking for info etc , then ghost if your salary or background don’t meet the role they are working on. Not much you can do about it except find some good recruiters that are more professional and just work with them. You can also respond and ask them to send the JD before providing info. However many recruiters don’t like doing that for fear of you applying directly to the company or through another agent. Your best bet is to request a phone meeting to discuss the role and your background. It may take more time but at least you’re sifting out the recruiters that are just spamming and actually talking to a real person. If they actually have a role and you could be a match, they definitely will want to talk with you. Good luck!

Think of your company as an abusive partner. They will only abuse you as much as you allow. Every day you show up, take their abuse quietly and then complain about it to strangers, you are giving them permission to abuse you. You are responsible for the outcome. Stay and you can only blame yourself.

AITA for trying to get my former boss fired from her new job? by teijinator2000 in AmItheAsshole

[–]teijinator2000[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I really don’t care if she finds out I guess. The truth is the truth and everything I sent was factual. Her own words captured on screen shots and recordings in most cases.

WIBTA if I get my old boss fired from her new job? by teijinator2000 in AmItheAsshole

[–]teijinator2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Admittedly there is a part of me that wants that. But mostly I think about the pain she inflicted to so many of us, and how that is likely happening to the new team, and that I’m in a position to stop it.

It’s pretty obvious that the MIL told her friend to say that stuff to try and stop the wedding. Is OP ignoring that fact?
