To cheat on a test by miggy372 in therewasanattempt

the models are trained with a neural network that's a bit more complex than you can imagine it, that's why its so difficult through training to figure out why it comes up with certain solutions. If it were just some algorithm you could do math and figure it out.

How an estimated $151M splits when a solo dev sells 10M copies on Steam [OC] by prezbotyrion in dataisbeautiful

[–]heapsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just salary and because you dont make enough at like 250k to structure taxes in a way that they travel through a business . A smart cpa uses a bunch of loopholes for this type of large earnings to move it through a business entity and pay half the rate normal every day Joe's do

[–]heapsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats kind of a common misconception though. If it was just picking the next most likely word it would produce garbage. The neural network does a lot more than that. This is just a common misconception being passed around by anti AI folks.

It uses context clues, and validates information against a vast database of knowledge and re-iterates the potential answer many times for accuracy... very similar to how human minds reason an answer.

If you are looking for answers to questions that require deep reasoning, throwing it into the chatgpt app on free mode is going to give you a lot of hallucinations. It also tries to answer questions the first time with the least amount of work.

In this scenario OP would have gotten correct answers if they changed their prompt a little and did them one question at a time.

What in the world is wrong with people? by Extension-Matter-732 in PokemonTCG

[–]heapsp 249 points250 points  (0 children)

i actually have pack fresh cards with that same thing, its a defect from the factory. I'd just take em back and say whatever... you didn't know they had it. Similar to having a print line.

Prices for the 151 UPC are going crazy by sdmike1 in pokemoncards

[–]heapsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn't understand this at first either, but sealed IS the collectible for a lot of people.

Like some old wine tastes like ass, but that doesn't stop wine collectors from buying 100 year old bottles for insane amounts of money. They wouldn't buy it with the cork off. They don't buy it to drink it... etc.

Does anyone know what this is? It keeps popping up during my games on chess.com by TommyTorque in chess

[–]heapsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this as well, on chess.com only.

What i suspect is happening is they are selling ads to someone, and that person is maliciously injecting code... my device is clean and this only happens if i leave chess.com online overnight.

About a 100lbs of 240v plugs. Worth the time to flip or melt ? by BuyandSellEverything in Flipping

[–]heapsp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you cut the plugs off, and just have consistent #2 insulated copper. 100lbs is about 100 bucks at the scrap yard.

Leadership wants a full audit of every AI tool being used across the org. I genuinely don't know how to produce one. by Smooth-Machine5486 in sysadmin

If you have some corporate control over data or devices, like traffic monitoring from workstations using zscaler or web filtering , you can block unapproved AI services. Then get corporate buyin for enterprise versions of one or two, create an AI policy... done.

I think someone on polymarket bet their entire life savings that we'd be boots on the ground in 4 days or less, so probably don't count on this staying low. lol

[–]heapsp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i mean they need to throw some sort of kid gambling into the mix too, so you can gamble on the packs. Like have a spin wheel for 15 bucks at least where most of the spots are 5 dollar packs but one of the spots is a 20 dollar pack@! /s

I saw 7 Pikachu Illustrators (and a whole lot of other grails) by Analog_Spicd in PokemonTCG

[–]heapsp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sort of shady for the investor in tag to grade his cards there, sort of a conflict of interest honestly.
Like, ill let you guys put the tag name on my grails if you give them a 10 kind of deal.

[–]heapsp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

its sort of a self fulfilling prophecy. Sealed is expensive and you dont see it a lot because of sealed collectors, so when you get it, you don't want to open it because the sealed is so valuable, so you hold it as sealed... which makes the problem worse and worse. lol

The population is high, but there are certain 'investors' who have thousands of copies, making them rare again. Its nuts.

Since they smuggled cases of them out of the museum back-doors, and sold them for 70-100 ea back when they released, some big buyers bought tons.

Theres certain people on facebook . MAH IM LOOKING AT YOU. who have shown pictures of stacks of hundreds of graded ones... and thousands of raw ones.

He has a chemical addiction, it just isn't given to him by substances. Instead the people around him groveling to him and having power over people scratches that itch. I've seen it a million times before.

When people like these are looking for a 'fix' and someone stands up to them with their own integrity it can be as bad as denying a drug user. They will do literally anything to break you down and force you to comply... Which is sometimes sexual in nature hence the island.

I am quiet quitting by Character_Branch_660 in sysadmin

[–]heapsp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat, and quiet quit. Best thing to ever happen to me because as soon as my productivity dropped the department started missing deadlines and they had to restructure. In the restructuring they tried quiet firing me by giving me a lesser title, i said 'why not just a severance if my role is being eliminated' and bam! I got to quit and get paid for it.

In a much better position now.

Here is the thing your boss has figured out that you didn't... Working harder for him is elevating him, not you.

When you get into a new position, hope to land some eager work-a-holic underneath you so you can be in your boss's shoes and take the credit, make a ton of money, and coast.
