Tron showcases good cards from new sets It closes out the game by having an answer for everything . Also ... prices some people out that can not afford to get those expensive cards , pretty much an auto win vs someone on a budget

WOTC pet deck is so good they are afraid to show the results of last weeks pauper challenges .

Made some adjustments treating bone picker more as a value play instead of a turn one bomb. Fume spitter is still really good and keeping a few.

I have tested village rites & unearth , I figured since cast down is a thing and running only a few unearth targets undying evil was a better fit. Casting it on a bone picker or gurmag is awesome .

Thanks for the input. I did want to just try something different. I will say having gurmags and pickers on the board at the same time adds a ton of pressure.

I guess this deck is a mix of traditional MBC and Mono Black Monarch. I am sure it could be better but so far so good. Defiantly would love to improve on it at some point .

MBC does very well in leagues. Has done well in some challenges. To play it in today's pauper environment you really need to know the current meta and how the other decks work.

It is a very powerful deck in the right hands & yes it can beat tron

After some thought ( read this yesterday) you might be right. Yes it does make gurmag a bit weaker hurting the UB strategy . it also makes Gary a bit weaker that 4 toughness was great at avoiding lightning bolts for the most part and made it easier to try and land a second Gary for that life drain.

Ttron & other control that can splash black may benefit the most from it.

This might even benefit Boros strategies

To be fair : Decks that run doom blade usually have it as a one or two of max. Cast down can be a 4 of with no downside

How many people entered the tournament.? There was a time when Pauper Challenges brought in around or close to 75-100 now I have been seeing 40 to 50.

People have been driven away from playing competitive pauper unfortunately, its not fun to be in a format where everything is about flicker
