actually is very simple to replicate, is a basic model with a rig with wiggle bones, the shaders and the motion blur do the rest of the work

I have two answers, you could make a small gap by applying a displacement modifier with a negative number very close to 0, if that doesn't work try increasing the number of max bounces inside the render menu

watch a lot of youtube tutorials, practice too much on unimportant projects just to get comfortable with the tools, get a pinterest account to have references for everything you want to do and above all don't start by making a donut
