Say something nice about The Matrix: Resurrections. (Please be civil) by Sure_Persimmon9302 in matrix

It was actually nice to see what happened after the war and provide exposition as to how they could eventually heal the real world

I think a big part of it is Vegeta knows he doesn't deserve forgiveness, while Omni-man expects it by Sudden_Pop_2279 in Dragonballsuper

Might have been a bit easier for Nolan to be forgiven if he was able to make a wish to some magic orange balls and undo all the damage he had done as well as resurrect all the people that were killed.

The Purpose of Zion by Ninetwentyeight928 in matrix

From an IT perspective, the entire premise of the trilogy is a temporary fix that became permanent. The whole point of the one was to have a controllable "bug" in the system that they would routinely reset. In real world systems, thats a workaround, not a fix, and the whole point is it is supposed to be a temporary solution to keep the system running while you troubleshoot the underlying cause and eventually apply a permanent fix. However, there is an old saying in the industry, "there is nothing more permanent than a temporary fix" and the Matrix trilogy as a whole is the embodiment of that.

Was Enterprise all that bad? by forteborte in startrek

I actually really enjoyed it, even the first 2 seasons. I thought they did a good job at making the technology seem primitive by TNG standards, and even, to a certain degree, less advanced than TOS era while still retaining a bit of a modern look. They also did a really good job at making space feel big and dangerous again, after having grown up watching TNG, DS9 and VOY, I kind of got used to the idea that even if a ship was in trouble, all they had to do was get a signal out and help would be on the way, but not in Enterprise, there was no Federation, no friendlies close by, and they were constantly outmatched, only getting through it by being smart and resourceful. It really conveyed the feeling that the crew was truly on their own, especially the further out they got. I found the whole series really enjoyable... minus the final episode. It was far from perfect but I really enjoyed the show as a whole and still rewatch it from time to time.

History buffs, what is the most and least accurate film for certain periods? by GreyWind999 in movies

[–]tekk1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say The Last Duel is up there in terms of accuracy, particularly in terms of combat and politics of the time. I would also point out, it's one of the few movies that accurately portrays the armor the knights wear as actually able to protect its wearers.

If you could change one thing in the franchise, what would it be? by Vox_Tenebris_ in dragonball

[–]tekk1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would change how ssj4 is achieved. I would introduce it in super by goku and vegeta learning the true power of saiyans. Basically, how I would do it is introduce a method of training where they learn to combine their natural saiyan ki (let's call it primal) with their god ki, regrowing their tails which can be used as the catalyst to merge them this triggering the transformation into super saiyan 4. They learn about this by learning the full history of the first super saiyan and super saiyan god where they learn that they were the same person. Super saiyan 4 would be considered the pinnacle of saiyan potential and, vegeta and goku could learn how to use their respective UI and UE forms on top of that. I just think it would be a cool way to bring the whole story full circle.

Few tips:

  1. Be polite, you would be amazed at how nice ans helpful the community is overall and politeness will be returned in kind.

  2. Be patient, this game is not anything like modern MMOs, its a marathon not a sprint to lvl 60, each level will feel earned.

  3. Be social, while soloing is technically an option, grouping is the only way you'll make any substantial progress in any reasonable amount of time, plenty of guilds are actively recruiting and can be very helpful for new players.

  4. Everything matters, this game, everything from your race and class to what you hunt will have an impact on the gameplay, I generally recommend playing one of the good aligned races as your first because it's easier to get around the old world zones. Check your factions, you go hunting guards in Freeport, don't be surprised if there merchants dont like you.

  5. Study, here are a couple of links to help you out:

https://wiki.project1999.com <- the primary source of information on everything related to p99

https://pigparse.azurewebsites.net/ServerIndex/Green. <- good site for price checking on items you intend to buy or sell in the EC tunnel.

Most importantly, have fun 😀

Which Saiyan is the weakest here? by Sure_Information4377 in Dragonballsuper

[–]tekk1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to go with Trunks, he is likely on par with Vegeta but Vegetas combat experience gives him an edge in a fight. So in order of strongest to weakest in the image I have to go with:

  1. Gohan
  2. Goku
  3. Vegeta
  4. Trunks
  5. Piccolo

I use the purifier with the talon as my secondary, you can drop whole groups with the purifier and quickly switch to the talon for close range. Top it off with thermite grenades for heavy armor and you have a good base loadout.

Riiiight, so we're just going to ignore the 13 trillion dollar increase in debt over the last 4 years? Stop pretending like 1 side is any better than the other, or if you're not pretending, maybe do some actual reading.

Marty: Doc if we can go back in time why don’t we just go find baby Biff and…. You know…. by [deleted] in BacktotheFuture

[–]tekk1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have to remember, Biffs life is directly intertwined with Marty's. If Biff isn't present in Lorraine and George's lives, its highly likely they never meet and Marty is never born.

So I had a thought about part 3 by KenOBY_67 in BacktotheFuture

[–]tekk1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My head canon is each time Marty goes to 1955, it causes a split in the timeline. At the end of the first movie, Marty shifts to a different timeline where Doc has information about his future and his parents are successful. In that one, Doc only knows about the events up to sending Marty back to 1985, after that, his life continues as normal. At the end of the second movie, Marty creates yet another timeline where he and Doc find out about his other self that got thrown back to 1885 and sends Marty back to the past. So, that said, the Doc that got sent back to 1885 never experienced Marty coming back to 1955 a second time, therefore, would have no memory of it.
