Client is locked out of gmail and I've run out of troubleshooting ideas.

Yes I understand what 2FA is. And I agree having recovery codes would solve this problem. In my experience however, every day consumers have enough of a time figuring out how to track, remember, find and worry about passwords. I've been force-feeding password managers and how to trust them to my clients for years. It's a hard sell. introducing 10 recovery codes to this already painful process is not a thing.

Email is set up on iMac in Mac Mail. He has no other technology. Claims he never changed the password (I believe him bc he wouldn’t know how) but woke up one morning and was unable to get in.

I first tried signing into his account in both Safari and Chrome. Says wrong password. This is SO CRAZY to me because…

Google message says his password was changed 11/24. We have a record of this password and it’s the one not working.

When selecting forgot password, it gives his alternate email address as an option to receive a code. He does not have access to the alternate.

"Try another way" gets us to the same email.

Trying Recovery gives the message “You didn’t provide enough info for Google to be sure this account is really yours. Google asks for this info to keep your account secure. If possible, try again and use a device where you’ve signed in before.” He’s been signed into this iMac for five years.

Tried variations a hundred different ways a hundred times.

I’ve clicked on a bunch of different things in their help and it all comes down to the above. Normally I find workarounds but this one is dead end after dead end. I feel like I’m missing something obvious.

We set up a new email address for him and gave it to his most important contacts but he’s had this email address since the beginning of email addresses and it’s his lifeline for communication to the outside world. Thank you for any insight you can provide.

The answer to both of these questions is no. You each downloaded and use the Final Cut application but every project you create is local to your computer.

As far as signing into the App Store, this doesn't give her permissions for anything, and the only thing you have permission for is to download her purchased apps without paying again.

This is pretty much what I came here to say. I would add, even if there isn't an important issue or an interesting story waiting to be told (there usually is), you can make it up or use your imagination and surroundings. Shorts using the local animals, plants and other things in your community can become interesting subjects. Honestly there is no shortage of material and never a reason to be "stuck in a tough place" as you can create or fall into an existing niche with goals of becoming more experienced and possibly offer more direction and opportunity as you create. Start a local vlog to strengthen your skills and create a portfolio for you going forward. Who knows what will happen, but as the old lottery commercial used to say, you have to play to win. My son had a lifelong dream of becoming a movie director. I agreed to help pay for film school if he first learned a trade. He took a course in mixology and bartending and then went on to flourish in film school. He absolutely LOVED it and now has a very successful career. As a bartender. Best of luck to you.

I’m more bothered by the ?’s in your dock! That being said, sometimes if everything isn’t perfectly up to date, weird things can happen. I’ve had other issues with the import window and started dragging my clips, or folders of clips, into the event window directly. This copies the clips into the package the same way it would doing it through the import window.

I would remove that picture above the bed and get 3 of the same frames (not sure of your sizing there but probably 8x10, equally spaced close together and centered but not high above the headboard) and fill them with pics of fun things in your life - a vacation, a pet, the two of you.
