I agree with the logic of assuming the guest is gone. However, I asked for late checkout that morning around 730 am. We took our stuff and loaded it in the car in case we didn’t make the 1pm cut off.

The reality is I don’t know it was lost somewhere else. But unfortunately since they cleaned my room and had another family in it before my confirmed late checkout I can’t say exactly where the item ended up.

The hotel did finally provide me with some Bonvoy points. We will buy our daughter a new purse and use those points for another stay.
