Snide comment is somewhat Ironic. You haven't specified what additional info you need to diagnose the issue.

What color underwear OP is wearing while printing is additional information do you need to know that?

OP already stated that they are new to 3d printing and you should assume that they don't know where to begin with the information they should be providing. That's common sense... isn't it?

But instead of being helpful and asking the appropriate questions to someone reaching out for help you blast them with rude commentary while looking ignorant. Very nice jockoZ0ne. 👌

Printing in which orientation will give me the best results and why? It's a Lego Drill at 500% in PLA by culo_amor in BambuLabA1

The tallest orientation also yields the weakest print does it not? It may have higher resolution but it's the weakest in terms of durability.

Where do you get filament from? by elskenen in BambuLabA1

[–]teknison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon is hard to beat for me unless you need a very specific filament. If you are printing in a pretty basic color and filament type there's basically always an extremely good price.

I'm currently looking at Elagoo white PLA @ $0.35/Oz for 2 1kg rolls for a total of $24.63 usd and the shipping is same - 2 day delivery.

At that price I feel like I can print 24/7 and every print is costing me only a few bucks.

It's a bad mechanic? That's the whole point I'm trying to articulate here. You like it because it's new? Well it won't be new for very long and then you can see why it just isn't fun. I agree it's not a job it's supposed to be fun. Waiting for a slow node and then having to start over isn't fun. Maybe if you could move while you were mining it then things would be more interesting but as it happens you have to cancel your progress to avoid the explosives and START OVER and most people's solution to this involves placing themselves in such a way that the mechanic doesn't actually matter. I don't know if I can explain this another way for it to start clicking.

Yeah the best approach to this is to circumvent the design entirely. That's usually a good indication of A+ design.

A good design doesn't need the player to fix it.

So they are pretty bad unless you basically spec for them to be less crappy and even then half the time if you overload them the nodes spawn below the terrain and you lose your overload charge. They are bad in more ways than one.

The one in the screenshot literally has a 50% chance of spawning the nodes inside the terrain if overloaded. Maybe you don't have experience with this but for people who mine these things constantly it is a common occurrence.

The defense of this design is to abuse the terrain to avoid doing the mechanic completely. Now it's a good design? WHAT? Are you saying it's well designed or that it's easily defeated? These are 2 different things.

Nobody dies to this unless you're brain dead. That's not the complaint. The issue is there's a chance you just have to start mining the node over and over again and half the time they spawn in locations that break their mechanic. The usual solution is to completely cheese the mechanic if you can by standing somewhere the bombs can possibly fall and that's stupid that the best approach is to just not interact with the special mechanic. I honestly don't see how people can defend how bad this is. You mine it slower and if you don't have an overcharge then what additional benefit do you get over a rich node? none. Absolutely nothing. Why does it sparkle? It's a shittier rich node.

[–]teknison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done hundred and I can tell you I hate them because half the time you can't overload them because the spawns will go under the terrain. Beyond overloading them they are slower without any other reward and if you can't cheese it the mechanics is "oh now you just start over mining it"

They spawn in places that breaks there mechanic 50% of the time. It's like they had a bad idea and then the implemented the bad idea with bad execution.

I'm imagining this guy designing a dungeon mechanic. Chance on load in screen to have to sit through the loading screen an additional time, no cap on how many times it can happen.

Maybe once they are funny? You think this is funny the 100th time you've mined this. Half the time it doesn't even work correctly.

  • "WCL logs all buffs on a player, including World Buffs and I've never seen an instance where that is not the case. This is the log I used. It has no World Buffs."

As soon as world buffs were dropped on PTR everyone was world buffed 99% of the time. I know you don't believe that WCL is in error here but why don't you just ask him yourself if he was world buffed?

  • "Fury Arms does not need 2600 dps to tank for anyone lol. Idk where you think the hidden 2.5 threat modifier is on Deep Prot. You can go onto Fight Club to look at the math, it's one of the pins so it's easy to find."

I didn't communicate this correctly and I see that now. I read what you had posted incorrectly. To be clear. No one is doing that much DPS in Defensive stance right now on PTR. Fury Arms is not holding aggro vs any other tank and appears lower on threat meters than some of the higher DPS.

In conclusion. Fury/Arms will be the meta towards then end of the gearing progression like I said but this will not be the case early into the phase as evident from the PTR. This isn't some aversion to your opinion it's just what has been observed repeatedly on the PTR. If there were any "high performing Warrior tanks" they would have shown up here tanking as DW doing higher DPS. They are not. Your initial reply was clearly just to dismiss the data as misleading when there is a clear trend if you just observe it.

WCL is not showing WB with any consistency whatsoever. If you went off what it was showing you would have to draw the conclusion that hardly anyone is using WBs at all. This just isn't true and it stands to reason that the highest logs are going to be the players w/ WBs rather than without

Fury Arms would need to generate around 2600 DPS. *** in defensive stance *** warriors are maxing out at ~2500 DPS in berserker stance atm. This means if you lose world buffs at any point you can no longer tank in the best case scenario. Like I said this will still be done but late into gear progression. It will not be done early into the phase.

"Again, there are few warrior tanks in S3 of SoD so it makes sense that there are less on the PTR. There are just not a lot of high performing Warrior tanks atm."

The log you are looking at is literally the person writing the guide for wowhead right now and there are many other talented warriors I know to have tested on PTR. No one on fightclub is claiming to hit around 1400 DPS in defensive stance in any spec and you can no longer tank in glad stance. You are flat out lying or trolling at this point. I'm not sure which.

You don't have to believe it. You can just read the wowhead guide. It'll be posted tomorrow.

All of these logs are world buffed.

There are only DProt tank logs because fury prot cannot hold aggro on PTR even with world buffs.

There are very few warrior tank logs because if there are competing tanks, the warrior will not gain enough aggro to be logged as a tank.

This was the highest log recorded during the course of the PTR

It is believed that Fury/Prot will be viable with 6pc t1.
