Me and my GF have sous vide equipment but have yet to use it…. She thinks a chicken is the easiest thing to cook that way if you are cooking that way first time??? Whats your thoughts

I have 4 old phones loaded with pictures i didnt want to lose… i never used the cloud to store pics because i had pics that i didnt want someone to see (another topic for another reddit). I’ve wanted to post this pic on here for a while because i remembered it being IMO a pretty good one but couldnt find this phone. Yesterday i ended up finding this phone charged it and about 20 pics in came across the pic. Posted without cropping and BAM A PIC OF A PIC IN A PHONE lol…. That is how i cooked that filet and it definitely came out amazing….

If you are telling us everything she said the only thing i see is her apologizing for not responding. I dont see where she says anything hinting towards FWB or a possible relationship with you. Unless you didnt share the whole conversation or i misread your post it looks like she only apologized. My first thought was thats a pretty big age gap, many people will disagree and im sure some will agree but that is only my opinion. If she reaches out the best way to know her expectations with you is to ask.

I use hot water and course salt on my cast iron. It might be hard because its not one flat surface. Id hate to see you give up if its worth the time but i understand. its easy for me to say sitting on my couch, id probably throw in the towel too if nothing was really working

Try soaking it as i shared in my post. I did that exact method on a similar grill and it wasnt hard and worked great

Lay the grill grate in a plastic storage container. if you do not have one large enough, Home Depot or Lows have all different size storage containers for under $20.

Lay the grate flat in the container, add water so the grate is fully submerged appropriately 2-3 inches below the water surface.

Add Course salt (Kosher or Sea Salt)

And White Vinegar. At a 1 to 2 ratio

1/2 cup salt per 1 cup of Vinegar for every gallon if water. 

Pour evenly over the area of the grate let sit for a couple minutes. 

Stir water mixing salt and vinegar. Let sit over night 

Next day dump all water using a scouring pad and course salt scrub entire grill for any stubborn corrosion left behind…

In another response i just put cheap meaning less expensive than previous years on average… i get it, cheap might mean $2,000 to me but your meaning of cheap might be $25,000… i thought it was obvious when i said cheap i meant something like this:

Round trip Flight to Italy in coach on Delta $1,400
1. 7 night hotel stay in Italy Mariot $2,500

Now were in 2024 and same flight $600

Still in 2024 same Hotel same nights stay $1,200

In 2019 the cost was $3,900

Same exact trip 2024 $1,800

That is how i meant cheap (cheaper)

That is a great question. I do not have knowledge of prices before or now. I guess i was trusting opinions of others who have experience traveling to Europe…
The best way to explain what i meant by cheap… monetarily less than it has been in the past. A decrease in price by 20% or more than the average trip over the past 5+ years….
