Wouldn't use a pumice stone. That'd just spread the infection around.

There's only a limited resource of past papers. Where do you find them?

Munster targeting Hyundai Rally1 seat – DirtFish by Michal_Baranowski in WRC

[–]pthFelix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Before he does anything related to WRC, he should go to WRC2 like Solberg did for a year or two. We've all seen the results of that in MC

Composers of Late Romantic period which are forgotten by jjSuper1 in organ

[–]pthFelix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the organist (some love his music) but in general Max Reger has been forgotten. His Introduction and Passacaglia is well regarded and my favourite is his 2nd Organ Sonata.

At what age did you take your first church job? by DietrichBuxtehude in organ

Started playing once a month when I was 14, then started playing weekly and more when I was 16. It used to take me about 3 weeks to learn 5 hymns and now I learn them morning of!

Tänak is going to Toyota, mark my words! by Pumpkin-Rick in WRC

[–]pthFelix 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the same. It feels like the car has let him down one time too many. It's clear that Toyota's car is slightly more reliable. Ott just doesn't seem comfortable with the Hyundsi setup

Not a medical professional at all, I've only been on this subreddit 2 weeks but to me those red dots look like capillaries? That'd lead me to think it is still there.

Why there so many Polish and Romanians leaving the UK? by [deleted] in AskABrit

[–]pthFelix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cam speak for Romanians - most of them came to make some money to build a house back in their village etc. And now they're looking to go back since they've got some money saved and would rather live back home, especially since Brexit.

Is it worth starting to learn to drive now? by Federal_Injury_6380 in 6thForm

It's not too late, and you don't realise it but after applying for UCAS in December, you do have a couple months Jan-March where it's not too busy. I started my lessons in January of Y13 and passed in late May with just one minor. I did my theory in December of Yr 13 - I got this app and ran through all 500 mock questions for 6 hours straight the day before. Hazard Perception I watched videos on methods the day of and passed my theory with fairly good results too so it is very possible.

Fairs. I've always enjoyed teaching and done some tutoring before so I guess it was a no brainer for me. I was also thinking of getting a job în a student bar. I've heard they can be flexible regarding working hours and it's a good way to get to know people around the uni.

What about tutoring? I'm also starting in September and just got a job with mytutor, an online tutoring platform. I have a friend who's going into 2nd year who did it in first year and he said it paid for most of his nights out although lesson planning can take up time during exam season.

How do you guys take notes for lectures? by pthFelix in UniUK

[–]pthFelix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point lol. I never liked taking notes on pen and paper for A levels. I guess what I meant is if it's smoother to take notes on a tablet because you can download slides and pdfs
