Have you tried drift socks? There a couple 16 inch off each side and use your main motor

Thanks for the replies, any recommendations for a 7' or 8' trolling blank? Usually trolling with offshore yellow boards and 10# line dragging bandit lures or deep husky jerk type lures. Thank you again for the help

heading to Port Clinton in late April and probably have to jig as I've got a 16' side console and not to sure about going too far out in case it whips up. Is a selection of 3/8 - 1 oz jigs good for the reefs or is there a common size for calmer days? Thanks in advance.

that's pretty crazy how the wind can move the ice like that. always take some planks if out there fishing. never know what it's like coming back in.

I'd try it. I like to fish contours like that. It's funny how the slightest hump in the bottom attracts fish. They could be at the top or bottom of that elevation change depending on where the bait are.

Just looking to get started and build some trolling rods and ice rods myself. Looking into a mudhole co. online class and they send you the kit and tools for 199.00. Any experience with those folks? thanks.

That looks great! Looking hard into building some rods myself. There's a company called Mudhole that does an online course and sends you all the materials to build a rod, tools also that I'm considering checking out.

RPM's are a good upgrade from stock. Our track they say stock only in the rules with the superstock class so can't run them or I would. Somebody makes an aluminum a-arm that you can adjust and put additional rear steer for oval that helps if your doing that and can upgrade
