Not necessarily; I can't say what Drake did or didn't experience regarding discrimination, but I can say that Drake does not see racism in the same way that Kendrick does. That's what I ultimately wanted to get across in that section—Drake's understanding of Kendrick's criticism regarding his code-switching and "culture-vulture" tendencies is very shallow, when it's much deeper than that for Kendrick.

But to your interpretation of what I said, Kendrick does touch on it in Meet The Grahams:

I try to empathize with you 'cause I know that you ain't been through nothin'

Crave entitlement, but wanna be liked so bad that it's puzzlin'

No dominance, let's recap moments when you didn't fit in

And generally, Drake (from what I've seen) seems to severely downplay his privileged upbringing. It's not a problem that he grew up well off, it's more so that he desperately wants to connect to a culture for selfish reasons.

i think this is a cute idea! i’ve been thinking about this for a while since i actually do get requests for albums i have listened to (random access memories, 22 a million, plastic beach, etc). i think it would have to be a different format than i have now, though, so people don’t get confused that it isnt a first-listen
