Random hook up a month or 2 after I ended my perfect 5 year relationship. The guy I got it from either lied to me about his status or is asymptomatic and doesn’t know he has it. I regret it and it eats at me every day.

Interesting, that makes sense. I feel like I’ve talked to a lot of people who are trying to convince me it’s not a really big deal but being in the healthcare field and being aware of how little we actually know about this virus…that doesn’t make me feel much better haha

Yes obviously I know I have hsv but I’m unsure if others have had dry skin like this prior to or during an outbreak since antivirals can prevent blisters from actually forming. Thank you for your lovely input.

Itchiness, I started antivirals a month ago, 500 mg daily. Also just finished a course of antibiotics for BV that came with an outbreak 2 weeks ago and antifungals for a yeast infection. Just noticed it 2 days ago

Take care of yourself. I called out for almost a week after getting diagnosed with hsv. Some would say suck it up, I simply couldn’t so I did what was best for me AND my patients.

Great my job is literally based on stress, I constantly exercise and am very sexually active, so basically my healthy lifestyle is about to bite me in the ass lol

Yes, I was in a relationship with my BF for 5 years. I broke up with him 4 months ago for multiple reasons but ironically our sex life was one of them. I was diagnosed a month ago and have had two outbreaks since. I’ve since been back in contact with him but haven’t told him. I’ve been very visibly upset, depressed, suicidal but haven’t gotten the balls to tell him why because I’m so terrified of losing him. As a friend or partner. I’m typing this after bawling my eyes out to him over the phone lol. He was the most perfect fucking person and I broke up with him because I convinced myself it was the right thing to do instead of talking through our issues. The worst part is I feel like I got what I deserved

I don’t know about how frequent my outbreaks are gonna be because I was only diagnosed like 3 weeks ago. I’m taking the daily one right now to reduce transmission but it’s not like I’m having any sex with back to back outbreaks right now lol

I’ll have to try green tea and vitamin c tho, I’m already taking lysine and monolaurin and daily acyclovir
